Worn tyres don't stop an alignment being done. It sounds like they were giving you excuses. I would be getting it aligned by a proper place as you don't want your new tyres to get excessive wear because of the toe being out.

I just upgraded my lighting in my little shed. I had a few old mismatched flouro tube lights and just put in 17 1.5m flouro lights so its super bright. Mates 328i e36 was having missing and hesitation problems, and we swapped out the fuel filter and problem solved. It was really hard to blow through the old filter.

From my research; 1 Try redline for cheap mufflers. 2 You can cut up the factory heatshields from e36/e46 etc and they are surprisingly good. 3 Definitely ceramic coating and make sure you get the insides done too. Heat wrap will shorten the life of your headers.

only way to know for sure is to take the diff cover off and have a look. It means replacing the oil but that should be done regularly on an lsd anyway. It also means you can clean the insides much better than doing an oil change the conventional way.

Having driven both a e39 wagon and 3 e46 wagons, the e46 is just so much better. The only real advantage I found with the e39 is more interior space.
