Amd is definitely the ecosystem to go for at the moment, and ussually are more future proof. But cpu and gpu choices greatly depends on what you are using the pc for?

Awesome progress. What is the advantage with using the 4.6is dash?
-
I have a complete e53 x5 4.6is rolling body. Everything is there and in excellent condition except the motor. Could be good for someone i they want to drop a motor into it

That looks awesome. Did you notice lower temps? I sanded mine back and painted them but it took about ten hours.
-
Its still looking great. Do you have a pic of the engine bay, and of the hpc coating?
-
Do you have to use a particular clear coat on the headlights so they dont fade or fog up over time?

It wont damage the speaker but it will absolutely affect the sound. Do a listening test at the same volume in both configurations. The correct configuration will sound louder and fuller.- 1 reply

This is a very interesting topic. A good test might be to swap the stock intake back in and take the same readings and see how much different it is. A long shot idea, but would a cooler running fuel like gull force 10 have an impact on intake temps? You could also experiment with heat guards on the headers etc
-
What coolant combo are you using? Your engine shouldnt be overheating and blowing cooling system parts.

Bloody audi drivers

Great work. Dont forget the little rubber bungs on the back of the intake manifold

Go e46 330i front brakes and e46 325i/328i rear brakes. Its a very noticeable improvement

Someone hacked the site a while ago and sent threats to the emails of some forum members

Both the n62 and m62 have their quirks. n62 is rear sump, so factor that in. And ignore Michaels offensive suggestion of putting a chevy engine in a bavarian ?

For a street car I would use oem rubber for all mounts - so engine mounts, gearbox mounts, and subframe mounts. Everything else its fine to use poly, but I wouldnt use the hard poly on a street car. Powerflex is good because its better than rubber but not too hard. The really common bushing failure points on the e46 are the front control arm bushings, and the rear trailing arm bushings.
