  1. The e46 really deserves a wider wheel in the rear. 9 or 9.5 wide in the rear is about right imo. I think 10 is too wide, and 8.5 too narrow.
  2. 19s are not great on the e46. The ride would be very harsh as the tyres would have a very small profile. The tyres would also be way more expensive.
  3. No. I'm a bit of a wheel whore lol. I have some black reconditioned style 42 reps I'm selling though.
  4. Here are some pics to show the clearance on the front. Bear in mind the wheels will sit much higher but the car is on jackstands for these pics. I dont have tyres for these wheels yet, but here I am tested the rear suspension with the coilover fully lowered and using a 17 x 8.5 et 37 with a 255/40 for reference. The 18x9.5 et45 wheels fit on the rear but I haven't got a pic on the car. The rear guards have been mildly rolled.
  5. I have 18x8.5 et 40 fronts, 18x9.5 et 45 rears for my v8 project. The fronts clear the coilovers by only a couple of mm's, but I dont know if they would foul standard suspension or not. I'm going to run a small amount of camber and will go for 245 fronts and 265 or 275 rear
  6. Are you wanting 17s or 18s? I have tried a few different combos playing with different offsets. Its a bit tricky to find wheels in the correct offset. Some guys seem to compromise by getting the wrong offset and then stretching the tyres to fit - for me thats a complete no no as I would never want to compromise handling. I have a few different size offset wheels that you are welcome to come over and test fit to see what works best before you go out and buy wheels.
  7. Hopefully someone with not just the means, but the passion for this community will step up. It could really take this place I love to the next level.

    Bbs finally on...

The guy really is a genius when it comes to wheels. I imagine he could do those supacheap auto ads where the worker guesses the oil filters, but with wheels. The wheels look nice for sure, but what about the compromise with grip and handling having stretched 215's?

Looks good. Can you fit anything wider than the 215 on the rear or will it rub?

  23. Absolutely epic. Imagine what his time would have been without traffic. Some of those other drivers must have crapped themselves when they were pushing their cars to the limit and Hans just goes flying by as if they were standing still.
  24. They look great. 20 hp is an excellent gain, plus some nice gains lower in the rev range. 239hp is a good result when you consider he calls his dyno the 'dream killer', because it records lower compared to others.
