  1. I should have looked closer lol. Too busy multitasking with Bathurst.
  2. @Olaf You really want to try the updated e46 wipers. Once you try them you will never be able to go back. https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/product/17313-new?product=61610037009
  3. It also doesnt look like the old shock is completely open - it looks partially compressed.
  4. The coloured banding unfortunately doesn't give information on what springs they are - the banding was used in the production line to make sure the correct springs went on the correct car.
  5. Trans shifting up when braking going downhill is a feature that is meant to happen.
  6. Great work. Looks like the previous owner was allergic to maintenance.

What, in your opinion, is the next part to upgrade/improve the car?
  8. Pictures or it didnt happen. ?
  9. I watch this guy, he can be quite entertaining. He has a pretty cool e30 coupe build too.

    Quick rant thread.

Yup, I just ordered a sh*t tonne of hengst filters (the best) from fcpeuro for the equivalent of about $10nzd each including shipping. The Ryco ones are rubbish and more than three times the price.
  11. Wow, whats the blue one in the fifth picture?
  12. That engine looks nice and clean now.
  13. Had a bad experience where the engineer rebuilt some shocks only to have them leak, and then they tried to charge to fix them.
  14. $1325 nzd including shipping from demontweeks in Wales for koni yellows.
  15. George Stocks is overpriced and not good with warranty claims in my experience.
  16. Yes tyres are a bit too wide for the rim, but not dangerously so. You definitely wouldn't go wider on a 7.5 rim. Also bear in mind that the speedo will be slightly off with that aspect ratio, but that wont matter on the track.
  17. Yes they will fit fine with that offset.
  18. Depends on the offset of the wheel. If the offset is correct they will fit - if not they will rub.
  19. Holy threadbump Batman! Did this ever get resolved, and if so what was the cause? I'm currently chasing the same two codes.
  20. There is differing opinions on engine flushes, but I know some old school mechanics will mix in some atf with the engine oil, run the engine and then flush and put in fresh engine oil. The atf has alot of detergents in it. Someone like Glenn would be worth asking as he has alot of experience.
  21. $50 scanning it would have likely saved you a bunch of money on plugs and coils.

Does it smoke from the oil problem? Is the smoke blue?

    Quick rant thread.

Graham, another option could be to split your order so your cost is less than $400nzd per order and then you avoid the customs delay.
  24. Did you check/replace the hose that goes down to the oil pan from the bottom of the oil separator? That hose also has a ball operated check valve at its bottom bend. It could also have been clogged making the check valve not operating. If you remove that hose and shake it, you should hear the ball rattling at that bottom bend. Also if you blow on it from bottom side the valve should close and not allow you block. I would spray some electrical cleaner from the bottom side of it to make sure the check valve is area is clean and operating. If full vacuum reaches that hose by the oil separator not functioning correctly and check valve is also not operating, the vacuum will pull engine oil from oil pan into intake manifold.
