Agree $15K is a bit high - from my experience with these vehicles there's a bunch of stuff that WILL happen at some point and it's better to buy when someone else has had the work done (and you have evidence of this). If not, then you'll wear it - in which case you better have a MBI policy. At 15yrs you can attach up to a *4* year policy - and BMW Club members can get a discount on these. These are not a cheap beastie to own. But they are awesome

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1408692485 $13.5k reserve 128KMs nice 19" aftermarket wheels aftermarket exhaust HUD no real service histroy known issues: -Sunroof occasionally does not work, (i usually just wiggle the control a bit and it goes) -Dash will say a park bulb is out and an indicator occasionally but it goes off after a short drive. Pics have been played with too much ; seller looks like an interesting character (for sale on FB too) .... appears to have purchased a newer 2012 650i.

Appropriate for a rap star with gold chains and metallic basketball boots - or a UK footballer perhaps. Different but not my bag. Pics for posterity ....

Had E53 X5 in for a service and what I thought would be a CV joint - turned out to be new front axles required - so I'll be using the M5 most of the time until that gets sorted! Thank heavens for Autosure MBI (re axles) - eases the pain! Plus all the brakes need doing ...

Welcome Vince and what a beaut you have! I can appreciate how a B5 would be an easier daily driver whilst still a monster. Is it based on the 545i or the 550i? Hope to the see the car as some point.

It is a beaut, but also agree on the price - ouchy.
