Use Gull 98 in my cars. It's 30 cents a litre cheaper than BP, they can keep their overpriced petrol to themselves.
-
You could have had that, and the F10 550i touring on TM for a daily .
-
Many of the above points are valid. But I think people with an emotional connection to an E28 number very few.
-
Perhaps Contrails alternatives of an E46 M3 or Z4M would have been better suggestions? My point was meant to be that there's cooler cars available at $40k, hence I think the value should be lower. The exception to that being the person that MUST HAVE E28 M535i!i! regardless of price. At which point they could charge $60k. E39 M5's pop up now and then and I'm sure you could hunt down one of the E34 M5s if you tried.

Could be the pics hiding the fine detail, but it certainly looks mint! Great colour combo.
-
On the basis that there is a lot more in the BMW stable available at $40k. You have E34, E39, E60 and even F10 M5's available at that price point. Personally I would buy an Audi B5 RS4 if I was in that market. I would have a think about that E28 at $20-25k.

Mint looking car.

My vote goes to the G30

I think some of you might be missing that M3AN doesn't actually care other than for curiosity and adding value to the community through shared information. I think he was alluding to there being no point to keeping the valuation secret. Of course you are entitled to keep you information secret for whatever reason, valid, rational or not. Paying for a valuation doesn't create a privacy issue by the way.

Rubbertree probably has something. Although the ones I got for my Maser are ever so slightly too big which is annoying as they bunch up. https://www.rubbertree.co.nz/product/75324/all-weather-rubber-car-mats-to-suit-bmw-1-series-e87-hatch-5-door-2004-2011

TBH the GTR beats them both out. Its comical how close they are

I don't mind the M4 in white, in fact it looks pretty good. Needs different wheels though. Also holy moly, 275's on the front!
-
Crikey you must be well over 100km on the clock eh?
-
Hyper drive, but fitted at a local hamilton shop.

Agree with you about that. Although the one I saw was all black which probably hides a lot.

My Laufenns say made in Korea, go figure...
-
They're on my 535i, ZR19 98Y XL, 280 A A. When I got the car it had brand new Triangle TH201s on it which are the cheapest tyre I have ever seen in that size, and despite being a little small for their size they actually did a darn good job. Wet/dry traction was reasonable and we got 25-30k out of them. Will be interesting to see how the Laufenns go. I know Qube had some success on their older tyre models. As I mentioned before the LK03 is a dead ringer for the old Hankook S1 Evo which was a well regarded mid range tyre. Before you go thinking I am a tyre scrooge, my other car has Michelin PS4S in 295/35/20 on the back Hankook S1 Evo: LK03:

Purchased some new tyres for the 535i. Grabbed 4x Laufenn LK03 in 245/40/19 for $830 fitted, balanced, and aligned. They are visually identical to the old Hankook Evo S1 which makes me think that Laufenn get the old Hankook moulds. Will see how they go but can't beat the deal!

This is the way.

Yep just oil leaks. The n55 can be surprisingly frugal. I managed 6.2l/100k from Bombay to Hamilton once.
-
That was my thinking, the Veloce was hairy enough on my back roads. Another 220hp must be a bit manic. They feel very light on their feet which is refreshing, a 130i for comparison feels quite heavy. If only they had a manual box they would be on to a winner. Would be interesting to compare to a newer 3 series.
-
Yep they certainly look the part.

Not BMW again, but meh. Had the clutch replaced on the Maserati yesterday. Now that's a scary bill. Glad to have it done though so I don't get the silly limp mode anymore. I got an Alfa Giulia Veloce as a loan car and It was rather nice. With 280HP and 400NM it goes really rather quick with a huge amount of torque from 1500-4500rpm and apparently only weighing 1500kg, it certainly feels muscular. I'd say it's probably quicker than our 535i and, in general use, would leave the Maserati behind. Decent quality in/out as well, the only thing missing would be the latest german tech, but I'm not really into that stuff. Red interior also looks slick.
