Well done on sourcing the original 'style 40' wheels. They do look good. I think the style 163m from the e46 m3 csl are the ducks nuts on these z3 m coupes, but that IS a pricey option (though I guess there are oem alternatives?). Nice car, btw. And yes, that interior is a bit OTT.

I remember when that "1of2" car was on TurdMe a few years back. It was in reference to the fact that just 2 of those wagons were ever sold new in NZ. Little wonder given the new price at the time was $285k...........

I used to live on Franklin Rd. Those trees are a bitch this time of year as they drop all their leaves. You're right about one thing though - walking from that suburb is the norm. Hope you have a trickle charger for the car.

z3 m coupes x4 for sale (not be me but on trademe)

You would think so. It has obviously been 'well used'. But to be fair, this car has spend a good few years in the ownership and care of Ray at HellBM, and has has upgrades and tlc from the shop there to counter the higher km's. If you don't mind looking at big numbers on the odo, I reckon it'll hold together just fine. -
Come on Dave. Give us a clue. Or a pic. Or even better a few pics and maybe a bit of text about what is included in the deal. Just when you can find the time...... Oh, and maybe a pic or two of the rhd m3 (same deal). Please.
-
I reckon the value would be condition-specific. ie,,,,,,,,if it's in stunning condition it'll be worth more than average condition. Also, if you had proof that the rhd conversion was done by Hartge to me anyways, that would add to its value. If it's in great nick and the Hartge thing verified I reckon somewhere in the $60's (maybe even $70k) should be a goer. Oh, and a rarer colour is good, too.

fyi, and for posterity -
In case anyone is wondering.....

Engineering tour de forces right there. But did you really have to photograph them from the front??

Ahhh, the Phoenix Yellow e46 m3. Was the red headed step child of the BMW world for years. But was also the poster image that BMW used in their marketing material at the time of production. Certainly a polarising colour, but I've always loved it! (but not with a light coloured interior)

So a question for those more familiar with 130i's than me. What kind of numbers are there of 3 door e87 130i's in NZ. Were they sold new here, or are any that ARE here all imports. I quite like the idea of owning one (except for the fact that these cars are now becoming cheap enough for the buyers to just trash them, and wreck them when they are done with them nowadays), but absolutely do not want a 5 door.

Can confirm Dave from Halcombe is a (very) serial e30 - and e36 compact - owner. He has the bug quite badly, and does appear to be very knowledgeable on cars and prices. -
That's pretty much my dream combo right there! Did the e82 get an e9x M3 upgrade with brake/?suspension/diff parts to go with the s65? Love this, but silver is such a dull colour....
-
is this the same e87 that had the s65 in it? (that car was the same colour plus it had the m140 badge on the rear hatch). This thing would be a wolf in sheeps clothing, for sure!
-
oh, my beating heart!!! They are spectacular. And if they are the seats recently on TradeMe, then NOT a cheap addition to the car. One wonders why and how a set of these became separated from the csl they came in?? But great score for you, for sure!
-
Pic for posterity. It's very nice. And yes,,,,,,,,,$20k. Probably worth it, but if ya use it, it'll depreciate fast.
-
e46. Peak BMW, imo. No fuss, not too much extra, but pretty much everything you need. Hopefully this car is a 6cylinder and 3 pedals?

I have no knowledge of this other than what is available in the general media. But the business model being used here at Michael Grant motors just seems too weird to comprehend. Just letting cars sit for years on end, decaying. And having 3 Mitsi Evo's just sitting in a shed. One thing is for sure - we can take Mr Grant's $200k valuation of those 3 vehicles with a grain of salt given what he is trying to sell his other vehicles for! https://www.stuff.co.nz/manawatu-standard/300873072/i-thought-they-were-gonna-kill-me-palmerston-north-car-yard-owner-rammed-by-thieves

Would you happen to have a Getrag 260 for an '87 535i. Just the gearbox. And a price, plz.
-
Certainly seems a more reasonable price point than its competition on TM. And it's with a dealer as well. Appears to be a well looked after vehicle. Carjam reports it as a UK import in about 2016 with just shy of 100k miles on the clock. No interior pics, sadly, and the ad says 'tiptronic' so I'm guessing it has not been 6sp manual converted. Also - not indication of any work on the 'big 3' m3 issues, although it does have a FSH folder. Wow!!
-
what would be the chances of converting it to rhd?? Looks pretty tight under the bonnet. Good job I don't really like silver cars!
-
just being nosy --------- what kind of $$ was on the s85 engine? Asking for a friend....

spotted at the inaugural Palmerston North Cars&Coffee last weekend.

I read the article at the time of release, and thought at the time that the Dealer Principal (Mr Beacham himself) has both known exactly what he was doing at his time of purchase, and then gone out of his way to muddy the waters with regard to the actual ownership of this vehicle (which he onsold for 10x his purchase price). Upon reading it again now - if reported correctly,,,,,,I do understand there are two sides to every story - this article does not paint Mr Beacham in a very good light at all. On the strength of this, I wouldn't be dealing with this man at all.
