On trademe currently, but jeez an M2-Comp looks good on M4 rims

Looks great SJ! Is that the factory M-Performance front lip? Wish I had as many container sheds as that, place looks mean.

Old age. Be 18: fall 30ft and walk away without a scratch. Be 40: Slip on stairs and end up with a knee brace, crutches and a laundry list of pills before needing to be assessed for ligament surgery. Even more galling as I'm super active, run 5 times a week and golf nearly as much. Will have to be religious with my rehab to gain proper ROM back. At least I've got an excuse to sit on the couch and watch 8hrs of tennis a day now!

What does a 330e fall under? Was thinking of making that my next car.

The second "executive spec" nz new M5 finally rears its head. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m5/listing/4507767814 A real shame they had the poverty pack rock-hard standard E39 seats instead of the supremely comfortable E38 chairs - you can tell the difference by the much wider head rests in the E38 spec chairs. Chrome trim does the E39 no favours either. @balancerider see above for pics of your spot today...

Aren't they metric? I imagine finding tyres these days would be an order of magnitude harder as well.

Based on the location of the torsion bar cover I'm inclined to think its even pre SC.

My black plates go purple at night, they definitely screwed the pooch on them!

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

If anyone *does* buy it to part out for the sum of the bits - I'll take the red interior and carpet please! I do find it funny the state of the front bumper - anyone whose pulled the mt2 front bumper knows that their density is only matched by that of black holes. The fibreglass / plastic (whatever it's made of) bumper reinforcement is over-engineered by about a factor of five - as ably demonstrated here, as it's still kicking and has transferred all the load into the chassis legs. Prime candidate for a reshell as SJ mentioned - anyone got a cool colour coupe (Calypso / Lagoon / Lazur / Vulcan) kicking about? -
Probably the spot of the year for me, an early 2wd Sapphire Cossie... But completely stock standard and unmolested with all the patina you'd expect (including the bird sh*t on the bonnet, and random detritus on the recaros). Stunning.

Suspect that E9x wheel with paddles isn't just for show! Looks amazing.

@balancerider don't accept anything less than like-for-like. It's an OE screen that's cracked so that's what should go in, no ifs or buts. Definitely dig in your heels when they try and cheap out with a non genuine item. Then there will be the inevitable argument about re-using the original sensors rather than new, which will never work as well as they did from new. Dealing with insurance companies as a supplier to them almost killed my soul - the commerce commission needs to take a blow-torch to the entire industry.

Oh damn! I was chatting to the owner at the Mt Smart M fest, hell of a nice guy - was an aircraft engineer for the Airforce I recall? The patina on this car is amazing, the engine still has cosmoline all over it - a truly honest unrestored example. As luck would have it I'll be in Auckland this arvo, will have to swing past and check it out - I'll definitely be having a bid. -
Looks like auto

You didn’t buy the W8 wagon listed on FB marketplace for $500 this morning did you?!

Park it beside the red 840ci (manual!) that The Toy Shop has for sale for the ultimate 90’s BMW garage. -
Was a member on here(?) I used to see it all the time in Albany. Definitely had a CSL airbox / bootlid / GTR bonnet in the past. He was asking $40K which was a bargain imho. Wish I'd pulled the trigger but it would not have been a convenient car for the southern winter.

ayyyyyyy. Wonder where the CSL airbox and GTR bonnet have gone...

330D... (expanded - needing a car for longish commute)

Cracking colour combo! I even love the wood. Probably a bit eggs bene, but potential is there after a couple of grand in bits. -
Washed it to enjoy the two weeks between CMA and pine pollen getting all over the car...

https://www.facebook.com/groups/eurocarclassifiedsnz/permalink/2242824222575135/?sale_post_id=2242824222575135 Maybe at $25K?? -
Yes, hence the hyperlink I posted 😉 I've got a funny feeling that $13K would actually own it, sounds like absolutely no one has taken the time to go and look. There was bronzit manual 325i vert that sold down here for $15K over winter that had the same story. I can't stand chrome bumper E30's but it sure is tempting.

Spotted this out for a Sunday cruise yesterday. Looked in awesome condition! Also spotted Julian's immaculate E21 by the airport.
