  1. Plenty of listings up on the free day today, but this has to be my favourite - sold for $9K just a few months ago... Nice touring Interesting retrim Absolutely mint paint on this SA 325i Late model vert
  2. @Bennyboy aside from being on TM for $20K not two weeks ago you mean? Yet another car that Brad has bought and listed for double the asking price about 5 mins after purchasing. Alpina's add $8K don't you know...
  3. What did you find in the interior with the blacklight 🤔
  4. Seems cheap... 😂 https://www.my105.com/search/details/1987-jps-bmw-e30-m3-2-3lt-grp-a/b5a6fac7-b426-41f0-8134-e9d9fb614894?source=SEARCH_RESULT
  5. Fun-fact: It was registered to Bruno Trouble of Louis Vuitton fame when he was running the America's Cup events in Auckland in 2000 and 2003.
  6. This kiwi new Mauritius Blue example came out of the woodwork recently after 13 year of hibernation.
  7. @ssbmw the other way around I think? Definitely only 2 3.8's sold new, GE00070 and 89.
  8. Hoofing it up the coast above Kaikoura to catch the night ferry, and spotted a pair of comically sized illuminated kidney grilles heading the other way. XM? X7??

  10. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m5/listing/4954050652 Top tier colour combo, looks like a very honest example. Would love to spend 8hrs in the garage with a buffer! Edit: optioned with the 9" rears and the 2+2 seating option. Very cool!

Good thing he saved the vape pods!
  13. Buying genuine is no guarantee of quality though, you have to bear in mind that the dies and stamps for these cars aren't getting any younger - a prime example would be the absolutely awful quality of the 2002 guards coming out of Classic (nÊe Mobile Tradition) . I was involved in a cost no object resto of a turbo a while back and the first three sets of guards were rejected before a workable set was acquired. And I stress the word "workable." And what about parts being made that you can't buy from factory? E30 floor pans come to mind; they're notorious for ending up full of tin worm. Do you cut out factory steel from another shell or buy a brand new part? Both schools of thought with neither a wrong answer. Not sure there's a trademark issue here, unless GarageNO are stamping the BMW logo or part numbers into the panels.
  14. It's got the same front as a Fisker Karma, and Henrik Fisker was the designer of the Z8 and E53 X5, but I think that might be where the similarities to any BMW end...
  15. Hel are awesome to deal with! Got some F30 Brembo to E90 braided lines off them which they actually stock off the shelf.
  16. I've got a full set of E36 M3 calipers (same same as 540i) up in Auckland, but they need a rebuild.
  17. As an aside, Seaview1974 is currently my favourite for asking punishing auction questions.
  18. I remember when it was first for sale a couple of years ago - those photos are from the dealer that imported it from Japan where I presume the system was installed. I thought for about 10 minutes about fitting it all into a 123d before I came to my senses. It's all rockford fosgate gear as well...
  19. It's not genuine as they never came in white, or auto.
  20. Leaving next week eh? Wonder if he'll take $2.5k 😂
  21. Dry ice blasting would be the go if you can find someone up North that does the work. Think the closest guy to Marsden Point that I know of would be in Dairy Flat though.
