  1. "D0GLEG" would be a fine case study - left hook euro spec in a great combo of black over uberkaro cloth, seller wanted $130K and got $90K at auction - 69% of what they listed it for. As an aside - a friend owned the red M3 about 15 years ago, along with a matching Brilliantrot M325i - the M325i was such a nicer proposition 90% of the time.
  2. E30 M3 owners have been trying this trick for years, same cars still for sale though...
  3. There's a certain Je ne sais quoi about a car on its original plate.
  4. Wonder if Bimmersport could rustle up 13 E87's these days (and an F20 ?) cc @Driftit
  5. Ha! I was about to say the same thing. Must add a 130i to the fleet so the E30 can keep gathering dust.
  6. "What would you say ya do here?"
  7. Love those wheels! So period correct.
  8. We call those chicken strips!
  9. 18K is too much for me when the silver one went for so much less, but let me know if the E36 needs to be shuffled to make way for the 540iS.

    GR Yaris

The cheapest they'll ever be is the day you buy it. This and a 1M would be my ultimate two car garage.
  11. Partstrader claims another classic BMW. Not sure how that was classed are purely cosmetic when you can see the unibody pushed in, however.
  12. We ran that on a few cars back in the day (c.2005) it's a wicked combo, but becomes horrid the further you stray from SH1. Linear springs and the rates on them are mega.
  13. Pinged by an unmarked car at night. Prior to their new found daily lunch spot.
  14. Having recently been pinged for 61 in a 50, down a one way street I have to believe this is purely revenue driven. So much so, that where I was pinged is visible from my office, and four days out of five there's a marked car sitting just over a blind crest. It's an area with no schools, no houses, the biggest threat a speeding car would be is to the local rabbit population. I don't have a BMW with cruise control currently, but both Mercs are deadly accurate to what you set it to, both up and down hills. I've independently verified it with GPS, and 104kph is 104kph.
  15. Reminds me of the R53 Works GP for some reason, I quite like it.
  16. Yea what's the goss on how to tell between the respective types? Reservoir with green tag on the lid = hydraulic? Edit: It's funny how even GT3 tier Porsches are running EPAS with fantastic feel but BMW.... Not so much.
  17. You know what's cooler than one Alpina? Two Alpina's.
  18. Administrator knows a bargain when he sees one!
  19. Wow, I remember the Quarry Motors build! What a weapon.
  20. Absolute gem. I left my number on this car several times 5-6 years ago, I can now see why they didn't call back! I'm guessing via the plate history that the B3 2.7 conversion was done at Team McMillan? OS3623 matches the batch of "M325i" cars that came in during 1990, then the plate swap to "ALP1NA" in 1991 makes some sense. Team Mac did three(+) AC Schnitzer cars at the same time, all of which had the 2.7 conversion, but they were on PTxxxx plates.
  21. If you ever played with John Sax's red Group N E30 M3, I believe his son is doing a full restoration on it.
  22. Now that is a car! Were those front arches spaced like the E500? Apologies for preaching to the choir. My W124 300e-24 Sportline (on OZ split rims of course) had a service folder 3" thick across three continents and 180K miles and the controller killed it sadly.
