Was on trademe, and prior to that, trademe and the E30 FB Classifieds 18 months ago for $40K. Been through a couple of owners since a friend did a full rebuild @313km. $15K spent on the motor alone, over $45K was spent from top to tail, new leather, new seat foam, custom hidden bluetooth stereo with sub box along with period correct headunit, full koni suspension + bushing refresh, new steering rack etc etc. Was probably put to market about a year too soon initially, and the buy now later was far far far too cheap. It's level above the $64K red one.

Add this to the list for $36K(?) But buy now was hit inside 6hrs...

OOooooooo. Well on the bright side, there's no such thing as over paying for a classic car, there is such a thing as selling too early.

Auction close time is always something to be considered, so someone might get a bargain! I lead for a while early in the piece but knew it was going to be a record breaking auction so had no real hopes of owning it. Pouring wines at $43K was dangerous, you might have ended up owning it!

I'm game! I picked the red m325i to get to $60K so I'll go with $48.5K. As an aside, what is with all the Hamish's suddenly bidding on E30's on TM? My best mate of the same name is also after an M325i but wants a specific colour.
