  1. Goodness me, a lot of work there for such finicky problems!
  2. I don't like the fans for the drag the put on the electrical system, putting more mechanical load on the alternator to turn. A good viscous system is the way to go. Or Toyota/Lexus with their hydraulic solenoid controlled fans, better again
  3. Ill have a E46 CSL please.

    Mufflers

Don't buy any items that state "Customs services and international tracking provided" Then just pay through paypal linked to a debit or credit card and wait 1-2 weeks for it to arrive. Trick is to spend less than 400NZD including shipping to avoid the chance of a 15% GST bill and a $60+ processing levy slapped on top.

Email them, it would be way cheap than that. 50-150usd tops for a muffler or two. I've bought heaps from em. Also just avoid those stupid listings with the extra taxes slapped on. Plenty of good sellers aren't doing that.
  7. Higher the numbers the better generally.
  8. Dont forget Milland in Dunedin, pretty good prices verses those international distributors.

Ebay, Dotcomparts for the massive Magnaflow range, they make some really great mufflers. Shipping is fair.
  10. Sure are, in the end from other sites it was clear they were early UUC products. Now sold.
  11. Err but they all look the same so it kinda works
  12. haha kinda. I had my fun with that car, but I've come to an end with it. I guess my love for it dried up in recent months. Yeah. Trying to go full speed a head with that build so its ready and certed by the end of the year.
  13. Brain wave! Shall keep E36 V8 conversion kit and in a year or so time make a 4.3 VVTi 3UZ + W58 5 speed manual track car with a cheap and cheerful E36 Ti hatch back + Cage. Shelved idea for now though, but good to keep options open This kinda thing: Pulled the main conversion parts off the now removed engine. Quite awesome to see how well everything has gone over the last 2 years and 20,000kms of fun driving, especially the beefy headers. Just goes to show mild steel with a thick wall and a good coating is the key!
  14. Oh you have the single type system? That is prob why it is quiet. Usually going into a single makes it way quieter. I think thats stock on 323i models. Best case would be to try make it dual, with a used 328i system, and delete the balancing pipe, it will make it louder and more grunty. Does your Remus have dual in dual out configuration?
  15. Thought about removing the middle resonator? Also if you delete the H pipe balancer in the mid section with straight pipe that will make it very different, give that a go first with the Remus.
  16. Selling the rest of my car whole. Could be ideal for someone wanting a good donor chassis or to make a track car. Has had rear end reinforced with 4x m3 subframe mounting points, RTAB pocket plates and has no tire well replace with flat steel, good for a drop tank or fancy exhaust! Straight body. Still road registered until late July and WOF until Sept! Has pretty much everything except, front bumper and front lights, seats, door cards and roof liner, engine and gearbox, no front suspension and no diff. Can be rolled onto a trailer, front end is supported on trailer jockey wheels. Looking for $2000. The work done for reinforcements and rear tyre well delete cost more than that! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=745166849
  17. Just put a sports muffler on the back, straight pipes will sound terrible...
  18. That was a quick purchase! Fun drive home?
  19. Very nice indeed. Bring it to the next meet. We can have on site tea and biscuits.
  20. Hey guys, Does anyone know of a local supplier that does hub / spigot rings? I recall a place in Penrose that did them once before... but I think they have moved? Anyhow, I'm after 4x in this size ID 60.1 OD 67.1 Any help would be awesome!

Black one looks more menacing though
  23. Perfect, buy it Jooles, whip the engine out and sell me the chassis so I can slip a 2JZ-GTE inside. Actually I've seen this car in Royal Oak often, looks fairly good. Seems like it was a daily driver.
