14,500 can buy you a lot of BMW these days.... That is just a relatively tidy, well used 535i from the 80s... not even manual either!
-
I got a gift I wasn't expecting, a independently written tip book about the E36, a very good read!
-
Hear Hear, hoping everyone has a great day too.
-
Definitely, that's a very nice Touring you have their John!

A gift from the car gods right before Christmas

Perhaps, yet the part failed in just over 10 years which I think's rather poor for a car that once cost a small fortune. -
Yeah I saw the owner driving it along the motorway in Auckland earlier this year. Pretty impressive! Although Id rather have the entire range of every era of BMW than just one slightly ostentatious car haha.

Yeah, that is really bizarre, I'd love to see what the receipt actually reads... Who, in their right mind would spend all that time hooking one up to a 2.2 six? It's completely baffling, especially for 7k. Surely it is just a SMG look-a-like shifter from Ebay China and the seller is telling porkies about the costs.

Very tidy example you have there Charles.

Such a pity. -

Ugh yeah. Nasty. On the other hand my 20 year old coolant pipes on the Toyota V8 are still in perfect condition, they very rarely go wrong, typically if the cooling system is very neglected. Obviously purpose made non recycled plastic for those parts! -

Bugger Nick! At least it sounds like your getting it sorted out. Those pipes are probably the originals by the looks, 11 years... then again they should have lasted longer if it weren't for those BMW accountants. -
Very good buy IMO
-
Ugh, so tacky & pointless.
-
5 series GT...? *shudders*
-
I also notice those. Pretty nasty, can't beat the original Bosch quality & look. .
-
I like the dust caps on the front strut tower bolts. Very nice.

Yeah, for starters 130hp up to over 200hp is deemed a significant increase in power anyway! I can only assume he never read any of the LVVTA documentation.

E34 M5 with half a million km's (well, almost)
Michael. replied to tobytoblerone's topic in General Discussion
^ I've seen a few immaculate high mileage Lexus LS400 around. Usually they are kept by fastidious old men though. (yawn) That M5 is immaculate, just goes to show it's all about TLC rather than the mileage on the clock. -
Could you scan and display receipts of the work done?
-
Mmm great value!

I saw you today driving along Campbell Road, cars looking sharp! It just occurred to me coupled with the photos on the other page you purchased a house from our company last year, quite an upgrade to the Honda!

Very nice, a Stock M spec 328i E36 always looks good. -
Yes, definitely get rid of the 'own taste' decals in the interior. Such things don't help to sell the car to a potential buyer, and it can also give them the impression the cars been 'fiddled' with. When it comes time to selling a car, or house for that matter, neutrality is best, personal touches usually make people go cold or offer a lower price if they don't like it. Just saying

Looks great! 325i, 330i?
