  1. Those are Arabic insults! http://arabic.desert-sky.net/coll_insult.html
  2. Bugger. In my opinion an AA check is a waste of time on an old BMW. They will just tell you the obvious and give it a high chance of breakdown grade. You should really take it to an independent BMW inspection place if you really want a good opinion on the car rather than a generic inspection designed for Corollas and the like. I find the best thing to have is a keen eye on what to look for yourself and know what can go wrong, and how to fix it.
  3. That said it was one of those weird 5 cylinder models.. made some quirky sounds but didn't really go anywhere in a hurry. For reasons I don't quite know, not long after I got it I went to a dyno day achieving a modest, 85kw @ wheels, bit of a laugh never the less! HA, I'm sure the 1.3 would have been more of a hoot!
  4. I haven't posted for a while so here are a few updates of my project. Got the painted bumper fitted today... and over the past few weeks......... I got around to installing some Derale radiators for the power steering fluid, engine oil, cooling fan fluid, and transmission fluid. Also got some new brakes for the front M3 suspension setup. All original Lemforder / ATE parts (might have to wipe a bit of excess caliper grease off) And just fitted this stage 2 modified quick shift valved body for the 5 speed automatic I recently fitted. (yes I don't like manuals) Just finishing off the new headers and exhaust then off to finalize the certification.
  5. Also this. Having the same setup in my car it's a fair bit of a handful! Just glad I started with a 2.0L Honda when I was 16!
  6. Very nice mate. That would sure be a lot of fun.
  7. Welcome Jack. Very nice - looks immaculate! Whats its history? A restoration?
  8. Welcome Sean. Any pictures? I recall seeing one for sale at a good price with a 4 speed automatic - perhaps its the same one?

    E36 325i M

Perfect example of a 4 door E36, very nice sir! Couple of things to finish it off with all the M-spec trim would be the side door plastic moldings (M ones are wider) and Motorsport front seats with the adjustable lower leg bolsters
  10. No wonder BMWs 3 series have all been good since the E21, they hit the nail on the head back then! Great looking machine.
  11. Can't believe he only spent about 30 seconds talking about the AM v540 from the 1970s/1980s That was the best Bond car IMO.
  12. Wondered if anyone here has experienced a stretched automatic gearshift cable resulting in a sloppy movement back and forth when selecting gears through the PRND432 selection of any model in that 1990-2000 year bracket? I define 'sloppy' by about 5mm of play in either direction when the shifter is locked in a gear. Curious as I believe mine has excess play (1993 e36) wondered if anyone else had experience it.
  13. Welcome wow, nice to see someone with a Corrado, a rather interesting car! More so the Porsche, love the 964 shape!
  14. I saw that. Nice candidate for a V8 conversion. Hmm.
  15. Welcome mate. Good choice, look after it and you will be sure to enjoy it!
  16. Because I liked the Soarers / SC400s for many years, owned 5 of them until I drove an E36 and realized they handled like a boat. Of course it was too long until I realized I had to have the best of both worlds by running a Lexus V8 in an E36 shell.
  17. Hmm, must be 330hp @ the flywheel, which is still impressive! Keen to see a dyno sheet too.
  18. I like that the guy is driving in a Lexus SC400 coupe.
  19. I like both tbh, but probably the burgundy one
  20. Try get a stock M3 or 330i exhaust and modify it a bit, like upgrade the stock muffler to a Remus one at the back. Woolf Mufflers in the CBD might have the rear Remus box, a wrecker could have the mid section from an E46 330i.
