  1. Looks excellent, well done.
  2. Hmmmm. That is a good deal I think!
  3. Hahaha. Word. Get a Hilux 4x4 if you want a reliable work horse.
  4. Looks a bit tacky with all those random add ons. If you could get it for 3-3.5k it might be worth it, but the engine would still be gutless... so perhaps just look for a 2.5 or 2.8 model.
  5. Hello, I am seeking an E36 front subframe in good rust & dent free condition, Ideally off a lower k late model car 1995-1998 etc. Doesn't matter so much but the part number is 31112229040 Please PM me with a price if you have such an item. Cheers Mike
  6. Looks like one to avoid. You could get a legit on the road example for around 4k, and it would probably be a 4.0L version. Also note that ones had a silver respray over a dark blue body... not a good start!

    WTB: E36 Wagon

Haha I had got that impression from the advert. Ah well just keep looking. I'm interested in one too, but wont be looking until next year.

    WTB: E36 Wagon

They seem to be holding their value in the 6-10k bracket from what I have seen. There was a Red 328i on TM recenty, but it appears thats aready gone.
  9. Bugger! The wheels looked really good how you originally had it. The same can't be said about the current setup!

    FS: E30 318iS

Nothing like a clean original example. Well worth the money!
  11. I am guessing its ability to go around corners is undermined by the weight of those batteries! The fact there's no exhaust or induction noise from an electric car spoils it for me. Impressive never the less....
  12. How very interesting. That would go well with 196rwkw. Any pictures? The facebook link is not working.

    E36 Freshen up

I nearly bought one last year off a wrecker in the UK when I got some other parts. I thought it was a waste of money at the time. Might be worth doing it later down the track, obviously there is a benefit, but its only marginally bigger. I am wondering if there are any other aftermarket upgrades to the M3 one that could be better going for. Hmmm? In saying that, I'm not trying to build a hard core track car so it's probably not a necessary spend!
  14. I would remove the M3 motor and replace it with my sinful Toyota engine. Cheaper than trying to build a non M3 car into an M3 like I've been doing!
  15. Mmm whats an M3 motor / box worth removed from one with those Ks?

Interesting point you make regarding the axle line. I vageley recall something about that - I think it would require a cert if it was welded in. That's true, I actually looked into doing the 330i brake upgrade sometime last year... its probably cheaper - but I've spontaniously gone down the M3 route, so it means swapping in the whole suspension assemblies front and rear, I mainly wanted that as they have slightly bigger wheel bearings which probably makes sense having a torquier engine than the stock M3 setup. Nearly there with the front, yet to find the rear gear and rebuild it all with new bushings etc. Quite costly mind you with OEM M3 bits... but so be it, I'm not selling the car!

Yeah I'd seen the same cage design too.. Seems like a good idea if the car goes through some hard track use. I'd probably be more inclined to have it all welded in. Looks like you've made yours bolt in? Well, the engine is lighter so by the Low Volume standards they don't need upgrading... seems illogical but its all about the mass of the car more so than the speed it can do. However I am upgrading to M3 brakes, of which I am nearly there with the front, but have yet to sort the rear end later in the year.
  18. God there are some awful BMWs rolling around now. Sad.

Most interesting to see how you've expanded on the rear strut bar linking it to the subframe mount point location. Heh imported the rotors, what did they sting you for shipping?
  20. How is this cab coming along as of late?

    E34 Touring

Agreed. I am quite keen on one for my next BMW... but they are quite rare. Much like the E34 tourings.

    E34 Touring

yeah definitely, the E36 range in a basic form does a great job at being dull & ugly, but can look very sharp in M-Tech guise.
