Are you saying the 1990s had bland and style-less cars? Some of the best cars came out of the 90s!
-
Ahah, good man. A friend of mine is doing much the same thing, he considered a 330i, but then realised if he waited and saved a bit more an M3 is a better way to go. I guess it's just a matter of finding a good one with a healthy motor etc. Did you check out a few before buying yours?
-
None. Do it the right way, or don't bother at all.
-
Looks like a fun machine! Love the effort of stripping it back to the bare shell and respraying it!
-
Gross! The owner of that poor car needs his face pushed into the engine fan.
-
Welcome. What M3 model did you get, SMG or Manual? Gosh only 18, I would find it alarming for myself to have one back when I was that age!
-
Interesting... although it doesn't seem very M3-esque! I give you a few weeks until you remove it

Awesome. A Beacham rebuilt example would be quite a buy.

A Collection of BMWs parked on a no exit street somewhere in Albany... Looked impressive, E46 and E30s, even a cabriolet!
-
It does, but requires a special fuel pump ecu to make use of the signal from the main engine ecu... unfortunately are expensive new and hard to find good as a replacements as they burnout and are not reparable. This was the most simple way of addressing the issue, I sourced the tachometric relay from a Porsche 928.

Finally got around to wiring up and installing a tachometric fuel pump relay that kills the fuel pump when the engine dies. Safety first!
-
Finally got some proper wiper blades to replace the original ones. Went for the Bosch Icons, they are bloody brilliant, worth every cent!!
-
If it was owned by a meticulous owner for most of the cars life then yes, most of the time those sort of cars can be good buys. But a rental company car.... no thanks!
-
Word I think its awesome, in a sumptuous and excessive way.

Gah, they are one of my favorite cars of all time. Last of the proper hand built custom Astons before the horrible Ford era. (Lets no forget how the DB7 had door handles from a Mazda MX5!) I agree with Nath, It was piss poor of them to much up the Vantage name by slapping it on that cut price V8 DB9 in recent years and also slapping it on the V12 DB7 for no good reason. Quite good value these V550/V600 Vantages now, originally they were like 500-600k NZD new!
-
Yeah just get it redone, new material and glue. I bought one that had it done already, $200. Best money spent inside the car!!
-
I would have though the newer engine would be more refined. Looking forward to seeing some progress!

I love the high end JDM Saloons that Toyota offer, they are very decent cars, a touch boring for most, but I can see past all that. These Crown & Majesta models are the best of the Toyota Branding before going to a Lexus. (Aside from the Toyota Century)
-
What's the header clearance to the steering arm like?
-
Im with Brent on this one. They work really well the stock fans, one is enough to keep my Lexus v8 engine setup cool! (Although I've still fitted an original 20" hydraulic fan just for good measure)
-
Beautiful example at a bargain price! Gutted that I killed mine...

Now that explains why I saw about a dozen 150k+ cars heading North when I was going south this afternoon!
