They had one! Thanks for that Steve. I had no luck at steelmasters or EDL in the end. Thanks for your help guys.

Welcome, nice score Cameron! I think those wheels are particularly well suited to the E36.
-
Good idea, it's certainly something I would have done as a preventative measure if I bought an E39!

I have a cat back dual system cut from the X pipe section, as per picture. From a 328i with the vacuum valved rear muffler. After $120.

I've been hunting around for a local source of left hand metric engineering nuts. Started ringing around a few local stores in Penrose/Onehunga today but no such luck. I'm specifically after a high tensile M12x1.25 Left hand thread hex nut, rather try source it locally than find one from overseas. Any ideas of a store that might have such an item?

Looking good! What make are those wheels? They look like BBS RCs

Thanks guys. Haha yep, a clip to come, I will record it with my H4n sound recorder this afternoon at least you will hear the full dept of the tones that way. It is a little louder than than it should be, I have just ordered some Magnaflow SS Catalytic converters and resonator mufflers for the mid section, this will help to loose the 'clacky' American sound and hopefully give it a smoother tone maintaining the deep rumble. But as is, boy does it sound sweet between 2500-4000rpm under load. Regarding the diffuser Greg, I will probably leave it as is for the mean time, but I aim to get an M3 bumper with the slightly different shape and modify the stock M3 black diffuser, it will work a lot nicer than this bland non M3 bumper.

Finally got my exhaust hooked up today, sounds epic!

Heh this is true. Well the theory is, if you drive something dull such as a Lexus for a while... become accustomed to it, when the inevitable return to a BMW happens, it will make for a truly rewarding & refreshing experience. Win win really!!
-
Yeah, an IS250, as I recall it felt like a typical baby Lexus, numb & isolated with a quality feel. They have nothing on a BMW of equal size, thats a given! but Lexus' are meant to be driven slow by dull people so it kinda works in their own favor.
-
True true! On that note, did they make an E36 M3 Touring, or run one as a concept? If that were the case I would probably take one of those over a coupe version!
-
Somewhat of a joke, but I do have a weird soft spot for the LS Lexus range, even though they are possibly one of the most boring cars one could get behind the wheel of.
-
Looks like a great example of how the overall condition of the car is more important than the kilometers. Certainly looks like a loved example. For me I think it's priced well, but I don't see the appeal of the sedan E36 at all, M3 or not.

First off I loath that dealership., heard they aren't very respectful of the cars or road rules. Beautiful car though... off the photos it looks to be one of the tidiest I've seen. Some one I know had one and they are sure impressive. $30k though.... Kinda of agree with Nathan, but somehow it's probably too much in this market.
-
Beautiful... I would imagine they would be like an old Jaguar behind the wheel, a big, soft cruiser. Still, they were 380hp some 35 years ago, fastest production car in the world for a brief period! I've always seen them as the quality British version of a Ford Mustang.
-
Not worth bothering with unless its an OEM part IMO, especially with something as important as the wheels!
-
Hmmm. Well for me I've always stood by in having a good clean non-abused engine, running the correct oils/filters changed regularly avoiding short trips and warming the engine up through a gentle drive. Good oils already have the additives one would need to keep their engine running well, derived from the chemical engineers testing & research. I believe adding in a foreign store bought additive mix would just alter their hard work, changing the performance of the oil - possibly doing more harm than good for the engine.
-
Sounds like fancy marketing once again.
-
Liking the dash mat. Where did you score that? Not so sure about the steering wheel however... seems a bit more suited to a 635csi from the 70s rather than an E30.
-
The M62 would be worth the extra spend though, considering it would be the same level of work to get it all fitted & working.. but then it depends if a cable vs wire throttle version was used etc.
