  1. Drove it. In the rain. Turns out wheelspin @1xxkph in 4th is enough to sharpen the senses and clench the chute.
  2. When you say pinholes, whatta you mean? How many? Howed that happen?
  3. Volunteer fire fighter I think? Could be wrong...

    Quick rant thread.

Cause all I get is this crappy 3gig a month mobile broadband shite. No alternatives. And yeah updates are now off. Not that this was an update. Doesn't help much now though.

    Quick rant thread.

Wasn't trying to, too it upon itself to attempt it twice and failed twice. ironing Burnt a $100 over data limit hole in the pocket and left us with nothing till the middle of the month. c**ts

    Quick rant thread.

f**king microsoft shoving windows 10 up the arse of the laptop and busting the pitiful data cap. And it tried twice And it failed both times. c**ts.
  7. Jeez mate, she almost looks good! Like, proper good.
  8. Codes are crap, live data is what you need using a proper scanner as Glenn suggests. Anyway, do a quick check of the middle (large) plug to the DME. The thermostat can pump moisture through the harness if it's bad and corrode the plug and will give you all sorts of random codes and, um, stuff. Best disconnect the battery first.
  9. Who needs more than beer and boobies awyway?
  10. I always liked my 235/40/17s on 17x8s all round. So there.
  11. Mmmmm the smell arrrgh... Had a Jport 13b in an RX4 coupe. A big bugger with 51mm IDA. Was a hell of a laugh till it did it's water seals. Sold it for peanuts about 15 years ago. Stupid given current prices, but house deposits etc.
  12. Ah yup, each rotor fires once per rev, so engine fires twice per rev like a four. Leading and trailing plugs fire together (not at the same time, just cause it's a long chamber needs 2 plugs for complete burn) for each combustion though . Kinda a like a twin spark engine thingy. But you probably know this. Anyway, 4cyl plug sounds like it's worth a crack. ps, I love a good rotor, till it eats itself.
  13. Trying to remember how many times the rotary fires per rev. 3 times each rotor? Anyway, number of coils doesn't matter as each rotors pair fire in sequence. Is it 500 high or low?
  14. Cant even remember if I changed the filter...
  15. I did 180000ks on me old AU ute with 1 oil change. Beat that.
  16. Have at it I say. V12 is front sump though right? Will hit the cross member/rack so that'll need sorting. Electronics is going to depend on what year the donor is.
  17. The spring in the slave keeps the release bearing is in continuous contact with the fingers of the pressure cover. Unless it's bottomed out in the slave? Would be a bit odd given the big depth of the dual-mass though. For what it's worth I've never received a warranty on modified/specifically built parts so...

    Quick rant thread.

How'd ya wrangle that? Wait till its an emergency then head on in? I got 4 of the bastards that should come out at some point...
  19. I wouldn't want to run a cast iron flywheel wheel to 8000rpm. And yeah, they need a different clutch/PP plate/throw out bearing/starter etc.
  20. This. Even if it is 1/2 hour drive.
  21. That would learn you a fair bit. The deep end has always been my favourite way to learn, for better or worse ahem....
  22. Tried a different battery? I've had brand new batteries that wouldn't crank from sitting on the shelf too long.
