I'll probably come for a bit of a quiz
-
My E38 740il gets 8.5L\100 compared to 10L in the 535i, hardly better than my old E32 750i. The M60 is much more refined but still prefer the bulletproof big six

Good to see its still in the family. Shouldn't give you any grief for a long time if you treat her right, solid E30. Still have the front lip i meant to give to mark
-
Final measurement of rear camber seems a bit odd considering how it started. Rest seem ok to me but not used to see measurements in degrees
-
+1 on k's, i dont why people get so caught up on it as it means jack all
-
Good to hear. Still in the bimmersport family?

I agree with kiwi535 and get they latest one you can at the time. I'd never buy one that was earlier than 1982 as suspension setup is too archaic. Good site for info if you haven't already found it - http://www.e-24.ru/eng/theory/evolution/ . ' They changed something every year almost. Wanting a 635csi one of these days, just holding out for a tidy decently priced manual.

Sounds like it could be the DISA valve but like others said really need someone to check it out
-
Sounds like the blower motor has gone either that or the final stage resistor

HB man and keep the eagle alive

When i got my 535i it had done around 510,000km and all i replaced suspension wise was front shocks and sway bar links as the boot were cracked. Where service history and receipts come in useful so you know whats been done. Out of all the E34 and E32 ive always been able to fix shimmys by getting wheels balanced and swapping the best rims and\or tyres to the front or just swapping front to back.

Not exactly hard to legally own a semi auto AK(which is what they will be giving away) in NZ . You can pick them up here for around $1500 NZD now, ive got 3x of them around here .

Dont you work there? or used to?

Cost for front and rear shocks for a 735il 2000
Eagle replied to fersupe's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
KYB's are ok, the shock dampening is quite firm compared to stock and wont last anywhere as long but ok if your on a budget i guess. P&H suspension in Hamilton gave me a quote of 2k for kyb's funnily enough, probably get them a little cheaper but 1.5k for boges is a very good price. -

Id just buy new std struts and do away with edc No idea on labour but i picked up some OEM Boge front and rear struts for the E38 740 - $1450 all up from SAS suspension. -
Yeah i only got mine today but was worth the wait.

HB man. Was going to say do a skid but not even sure you can in that car
-
Nice build. Although im not sure why you need 5870 and 8gb of ram for a home theatre box thou lol, guessing you game too?.
-
Don't buy branded sh*t whatever you do. Assemble yourself or get the store to do it. PB tech in Hamilton on Lake rd are quite well priced now and at know what they are on about.
-
Haha nice shots of the 7, see that body roll. It was fun to drive but sloppy as. Be alot of better in next time with new shocks and tires. Wasn't the slowest car there either
-
Not to mention E30's stand up to the k's pretty well compared similar age jappas etc. E34's would have to be kings of high k's, built to last.

Mostly Belgian\Belgian style beers - Duvel, Chimey, Gouden Carolus, Achel just to name a few. Speaking of Epic Its good sh*t
