  1. if you copy off the oem setup you got it from you cant go to wrong, from mem you cant spin them any harder than 14k
  2. ok this is what ive found after 25yrs doing this as such and installing sc that you lose 33% crank hp to drive a sc on average thus you gain 100hp you lost 33 driving the sc, turbos consume around 5-7hp based on parasitic drag. eg:i did a 1000hp sc ski boat changed to two turbos it made 1315hp. topfuel blowers use around 1000hp to drive a blower and thats a screw blower which have alot less drag than a roots whyll they make over 7000hp do a google. pressure before and after shows it efficency and before its using atmospheric of 14.7 like all applications do,pressure after is based on how hard your spinning it or its displacment to feed set cu in motor thus small blows become a restriction or wont pump enough to feed the hp your after thus why they all come with a cfm rating.
  3. dont forget superchargers take 33% of crank power to rotate and the sc14 isnt that big should run max 12psi based on the specs i have here due to bearing failer and intake temps, there ok on little engines up to 2ltr. get a screw blower like sprintex or whipple
  4. add a large turbo i did opps my bad you cant do that cause its beemer
  5. No need for a straight pretty gay paint job when you have a serious toy like this its made for a job and looks like itll get it done, in true west auckland colours !!
  6. And its responces like this and others to why i dont bother helping or posting on here anymore, just cause its a bmw it cant be done!!! Small minds, i wouldnt have a 25 year old business if i thought like some do.
  7. It doesnt strike anyone as somewhat odd a person would advertise something like this if it wasnt ligit? Might make it a tad uncomfortable when it came time for a test ride if there wasnt any turbos.....A !!!
  8. nothing confusing about any of it atleast the guy thinks outstide the square so whats the issue or is this the normal " you cant do that " bimmersport intelligance reaction.

    ITB M42

I havent read your whole post but have you changed cams to get a better benefit of the ITB's?
  10. you get a better clamp with them and they are reusable and cheaper, its was common years ago to use in a race eng before companies like ARP were around.
  11. Its interesting the list of Performance Goals, translated it hasn't done it yet and for the price get a used F1 car get it certed and your in business. And i noticed someone removed their last post after mine if you think im taking the piss have a look at one of my customers sites i deal with in the states, can-am cars.com you can get alot of car for bugger all money.
  12. And what ive found even better is replace the factory bolts with m10x110 long cap screws, pull them down to 65-70 ft/lb
  13. F1 2012 = turbocharging again Now ill watch it
  14. their far from great but cheap and im sure itll work, i too had one of the m50 manifolds and that soon got sold on.
  15. Now if you made some room in the inner gaurds and add a couple of turbos? Go on Brent i dare you
  16. I sent Ollie a pm but havent had a reply for some reason and saw hes been on the forums, must be busy
  17. no real tricks apart from filling a 45 deg edge on the trailing and leading edge of the pads to start chattering, then brake in proccedure wont be much being a standard pad but use saome dot5 fluid when you bleed them and bleed the rears at the same time.
  18. i have the complete rear out of your car i went to put into my turbo e34 m50 but want to keep the medium case diff due to ratios but couldnt due to the flange being bigger but i believe theres a big flange med case i can swap with, based on the power it wont last long but with the 2.9 or 3.15 and rev limit of 8k i dont think theres to many places to do 200plus mph!!! I was just thinking with stopping the arm travel as such would upset the backend under load which is why i didnt fit them, didnt want to find out the hard way.
  19. In regardes to fitting the trailing arm bushes doesnt that effect the action of the pitman arms stopping the side to side movement under wheel travel? I was to believe that movement is there to correct geometry at speed threw a corner?
  20. I have a carbon Simpson helmet for differant reasons i also run an open 250 kart to which light weight on your head makes for less neck issues at the end of the day, i also use a hans device thats a god send but again its how much you value your life and hopefully youll never need to find out how good the gear is.
  21. My little m40 e36 gets 128km from $20 gas being 91, has afew mods done the best helps have been dumping the auto and ive fitted an apexi AFC and upped the fuel presure to get a better spray pattern. Now my e34...........cant say i care what it gets its too much fun to worry about economy
  22. The way i see it is do whatever you like and if it works awesume and if not yourve learnt something either way, nz is the land of diy and im a big fan of that with thanks to people like Burt Munro we have left our mark on the world, my business started over 25yrs ago cause some said to me " you cant do that" and ive yet to be proved other wise. "Dont just do things to make others happy, do what they will remember"
  23. If anyone is interested i have a m50b25 intake manifold thats no longer needed and a couple of oversized m50b20 throttle bodies, i put a 2ltr manifold on my 2.5 and cut 3" out of the runner lengths mainly to fit as ive stood the engine up and it works pretty good but will be binned once ive finished the custom intake.
  24. I went threw many differant pads on my 34 with average results the cheapest all rounder was both roadhouse and mintyle? something like that plus some legal braided lines. Depending how far you want to go as in an upgraded i desided upgraded thus fitted GT4 porche 360mm rotors and brembos, still could do with more but thats due to my driving.
