Sparkling for the M5, still for everything else!!

The BMW stuff is pre-mixed, if you use the other stuff you have to factor in the cost of the water to mix with it!!

It's a stupid, meaningless, naff name. Sounds like a special edition somebody would put out for a F&F movie. Also the two words, "Black" and "Fire", are utterly meaningless together unless it's referring to a cartoon character (but that's one word). We should have seen this coming when some idiot decided to incorrectly call a 4 door car a coupe. They're clearly being led by a misguided marketing team. BMW was better when they were engineering led.

As sad is this sounds. I am hoping to take advantage of the masses of over leveraged people that are only just keeping themselves afloat in the good times.

The BMW NZ supplied option is the Westfalia removeable tongue mounted onto an NZ made beam which includes the provision of safety chain attachments. This gives you the facility of removing the tongue to save your eyes, and shins, when not in use. There are tongues avaiable in both ball sizes 1"7/8ths and 50mm. I am currently using this bar with a canbus wiring module to integrate the PDC, etc when towing and also works correctly with LED lights on trailers on my company cars it works well. Is simple to fit and I have moved it across about four or five cars now so can do it in less than an hour.

That's before those of us in sticksville have to drive 50km to find a dealer to buy it from!

I found the touchscreen response to be improved if the menu animations are turned off. Hope to see you at the next Auckland meet.

The E92 M3 Pure was a limited edition of 20 units specifically produced for New Zealand, with most of the optional extras taken out of the car, to give a more "Pure" driving experience. This term has been applied to a number of editions in various markets around the world with this same theme. The X5 M was indeed a Black Fire Edition, interesed in your comment about "class" in this context, and also BreakMyWindow's similar view, care to elaborate?

I remain sceptical about the "only use BMW coolant" message. It stands to reason that there are millions of BMWs out there that aren't using BMW coolant and aren't falling apart as a result. But I'm a bit of a fence sitter also, I use BMW coolant in the M3 and regular green coolant in the 328.

Graham, that is wrong. The incorrect coolant damages the aluminium parts it comes in contact with. Always use the blue bmw stuff.

Very nice indeed, congratz! When I was shopping around I was torn between getting either a BMW F12 6-er, Jag X315 XJ or Mercedes-Benz C216 Cl550. I couldn't find a decent non-Japanese version of the Merc so scrapped that idea. Spent a morning with both the Jag and 6-er, and ultimately the 6-er won because I know BMW so well, and I love to tinker so any mods on the XJ would have been challenging and parking in town would likely prove a challenge too. Your's looks like a fine example, and bonus that it has active cruise control. The big cats have aged so well, and the interiors are still a wonderful place to be in...slow touch screen and low-quality steering wheel controls aside ?

There isnt really a pic of the old oil, (other than the windage plate?) inside of the sump is funny looking full of ripples from when they press it, and it reflects light strangely.

It was possible to drop the doors while driving. Lower the doors, reverse into the seat, swing legs inside.

Over the last week, I've made descent way on the tailgate section, getting all the wiring and structure pieces cut up and welded. Welds aren't the best as the metal on that side of the chassis is rather thin. Pin holes will be filled with deck liner and the end bits will be sealed with heavy duty weather resistant silicone. Hinge needs to be aligned slightly, but opens and closes pretty well.

Also get new sunroof panel seals so less water passes through to the gutter drain system i or at least clean the seals and line up with some Vaseline etc

Hey Team So changed my mind about the wheels on the touring and decided to try the style 95's on to see what they looked like. Couldn't really get a good gauge as the fronts wouldn't fit due to tyre size and rears fitted but are just touching the shock housing. So in the process of sorting some smaller profile tyres and putting the style 135's on to the sedan which i think are better suited for. Also a nice surprise this morning. Yes yes Charlie ( EUROLESS ) I should really finish one car before the next haha but couldn't help myself. Have purchased this beauty which i will eventually get to once im ready on the touring. Just going to let it sit on the back burner, but very excited! Oh if your wondering what it is, it's a supercharger.
