Watching with interest - I have 4 children aged 6 and under and they have no respect, don't help out around the house and not only use the washing machine whenever they want ... but they expect my wife or I to do it. They also don't pay their rent or share of utilities, and expect food to be included.

Just unlocking to add my "moderator-y" two cents. Tyler - you don't need to do anything. There is no legal process for private motor vehicle sales gone wrong. You purchase a car privately at your own risk, any issues are the new owner's problem from the moment the car is driven away. The garage who issued a WOF can be hit up for the cost of repairs if it issues a dodgy WOF. A mate had this happen with a Landcruiser he purchased that had a new VTNZ wof but actually needed completely new suspension and had rust issues. He got nearly $6000 from VTNZ. OK, re-locking now

Still can't believe I picked up this brand new Nissens radiator for 19.90euros + shipping (which was twice that) on eBay.de. Half expected an empty box to arrive. Total cost NZ$128 compared to dealer price locally of $850!! Much win!!

Thats a bullshit rule. Everyone clean up their own mess / dishes in the kitchen. Dont eat other peoples food. General respect for each other, incl noise etc. It's not really that hard unless you're living with sh*t heads or students. Im sure students are prob the worst, only benefit with students is partys on the reg and meeting new people(girls) all the time.

Yup there are cooling and massaging seats, if you really want to spend up large you can get a 1st Class Airline type seat in a 7 Series that turns into a fold flat bed type thing and does everything. The trouble with leather is that it does get cold in the winter and hot in the summer (especially parked in the sun with it coming in the window) so the heater just takes the chill off it, also comes in handy when your back is playing up and needs a bit of heat. The cooler stops you getting a sweaty back in the summer - even when you have the air con on full blast, you do still get a sweaty bit. I am a bit worried about how many people on BS know what it feels like to piss themselves though....

only m60 had the dual chain , all later engines m62 and m62 tu types single row chain . I think the ls1 ls2 ls3 etc is a good option , leight weight alloy one , heaps of parts around etc .

Have a look at westys thread for his m62 conversion (toward the end of the thread) quite a bit of mucking around but worth it. Goes super well.

Like the saying goes "if you have to ask...." If you typed your question in Google you will get all the info you need. Mounts. Booster options. etc etc. Been done to death, like any other motor you could think of e30's pretty much had them all.

Fabricators have now finished. Big thanks to the great workmanship of Colin @ Quest Fabrication. Next step will be with the panel/paint shop for shaping of the doors/petrol flap and painting. Nice to be able to fit the Work wheels and/or OEM 18`s/19`s

Hi all Just wondering about this for a few days and thought id post up here to ask for advice and thoughts from people who are flatting or have flatmates. We have a big house and usually have a few flatmates to fill the rooms. They pay a weekly amount for the room and all utilities but food is all separate/not included. What kind of rules do you guys have? Eg. Washine machine can only use 3 times per week or something like that etc

Saw this on the New Zealand subreddit last week, thought it was pretty good, wish I did this with a few people we've had in the past: Care of pelirrojo on Reddit (link to post https://www.reddit.com/r/newzealand/comments/3emcr2/looking_for_advice_on_setting_up_a_flat/ ): I've been running flats for years now, and I've got it down to a fine art now. I'll address the 'keeping things smooth' part. First, make sure you have a written agreement with every non-tenant flatmate. Here is an agreement provided by the tenancy.govt.nz website - without this, they have no rights, and you have no legal basis for taking a bond, requiring regular rent payments or anything. With this, you have a formal arrangement whereby you specify notice period, payment amounts, due dates etc. Essential. Two weeks notice, two weeks bond, rent paid one week in advance is the minimum you should require; even in that situation someone can still leave you out of pocket if they disappear on rent; you'll still have to cover up to a month's worth of bills on top of the two weeks! Consider charging a flat rate for bills - you don't need to chase people up as it's paid every week; it is included in the two weeks bond; you have much less paperwork overhead; on the downside, bills get more expensive in winter and cheaper in summer so you'll have to manage that. If you do this, then you can also budget for cleaning products, toilet paper, rubbish bags etc out of this amount. Create a bank account exclusively for the flat; I'd suggest you make two - a current account for rent, and a savings account for people's bonds. The last thing you want is to go borrow money to pay someone's bond back because you've spent it. In terms of house culture - be picky with who you have move in. Better to wait for a couple of weeks and get a good flatmate than just get the first person who knocks on the door. Imagine if you had a good flatmate who moved out because you let in a bad flatmate - then you've got an empty room AND a bad flatmate. Be consistent & reliable. Lead by example. Don't be picky. Avoid passive-aggressive behaviour; if you have to bring anything up make sure you speak to them in person. You might like to come up with some house rules; they don't have to be strict, they can be very reasonable. They are a great way to communicate to new flatmates what the boundaries and expectations of the people living there are, without people needing to test each others boundaries. An example - one of the classic flatmate issues is: Steve's new girlfriend has been staying more and more frequently; she's pretty much living in the house, paying no rent and contributing nothing to expenses. Your house rules could state that "guests are welcome to stay, but if they stay longer than 3 nights a week then a contribution of $10/night is required." Make sure you get some emergency contact information from the flatmates in case you need to get in touch with someone if something goes wrong (accident, hospital, sick, etc). I make a document up for the new flatmate specifying move-in date, first rent due date, rent amount, and what days the rent covers (i.e. rent is due on Fridays. Rent period is weekly starting every Sunday) - this is really really useful when it comes to the flatmate moving out - this document lets you know exactly when their last payment is due, if they're one or two weeks in advance etc. The rent period is useful because it means they can move out on Saturday allowing the new flatmate to move in on Sunday. That's all I have for now; any questions welcome.

The dealer just had to replace these on the M3 I purchased off them. Something like $1,800 for front rotors and pads before labour...ECS Tuning or Pelican Parts would be your best bet I imagine.

hmmm m62s is pretty reliable. You'd be talking about the single chain m62tu which is a different story. Dont get me wrong either, LS is cool .. specially the 550bhp create motors for about 15k. which is a bargin for HP value on a new motor.

Don't get me wrong, the M6x conversion is pretty cool for keeping it all in-house but I still reckon the LSx is the better choice of engine. (Waiting for the angry mob to shout me down ) M60B40 210kW, 400Nm torque vs 257kW, 470Nm for the LS1. Easier to get manual boxes for too, and a smaller & lighter powerplant. Yeah it's a dinosaur tech yank lump, but good God they're fun!!

If the car has passed a WOF with issues that "would make it fail a WOF", then surely the fault is on the shop that gave the WOF and not the previous owner of the car.

So I sold this to ROB HB1 last week, I took tuesday off work to replace rear handbrake shoes and some other sh*t so it would pass WOF which it got from a very reputable shop in town which has easily over $300,000 worth of racecars and modified street cars being worked on at any time, I drive to christchurch to save him even more money, I sell the car for less than I ever wanted to, to a man who seemed so happy at the time of sale.. He then talks some sh*t on this thread, then I receive this PM today. Hi Tyler, Have had car checked over by euro specialist garage we use here in Hastings. Car would not pass a wof. Not sure what your guys were doing? Parts and labour to remidy come to $550.00. they are as follows: 1x engine mount 2x gearbox mount pair front brake hoses pair front brake rotors pair front brake pads 1x rear wheel bearing labour. While I appreciate this car was bought as is, this is a wof issue. Having gone to the trouble of getting one it needs to meet wof standards which is doesn,t. please arrange for payment asap. Failure to do so will result in a trip to land transport and /or small claims court. So, before anyone trys to sell a car to this chap. He will get all his dates wrong, then act like its your fault. He will act completely fine with what hes buying on the day, then he will talk sh*t on the internet. and then to top it off, he will threaten small claims court over an AS IS WHERE IS sale. You need a f**king reality check Rob.

The set of Yokohamas i just chucked on my daily only set me back about $600. i consider that cheap and theyre pretty good tyres. Personally, id rather a set of ling longs or triangles than a set of 10 year old goodyears or something. At least you know the chinese ones probably wont break apart, but the expired ones could.

Sam`s E36 started life as a Manual NZ new 320. repower with M50B30 stroker and evo M3 6 speed. from the parts bin: E46 m sport seats, and any M sport bolt-ons that we could find. e39 rims with rolled rear guards.

Mercedes updating the A45 AMG.... it now makes 381HP from a 2L 4 banger. It does take 26PSI of boost to get there though. That shits amazing.
