http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1375930208 Nice photos for a (subjectively) average car

Ended upbought the radiator and some other parts through fcp euro and get them shipped here for only us$75. I honestly very happy with service and surprised that roughly about a week later I've got the packages. Upon inspection, they actually ship them by air! I dont expect that at all. So, car now has new cooling system and some parts are upgraded to better quality (metal pump). Thanks for your help guys. W

come to think of it, I regularly play all of the above - with the exception of The Mission. Perhaps I need to add a little purple to my wardrobe. And buy this M3.

English is the seller's second language, might put people off setting an expectation that he's never going to return a call in time: "Due to my extremely busy life, my appoligize that I could not get back to you in time, but I will try my best." Good taste seems to be his third language; OMG have you seen that steering wheel, or those seriously fugly side skirts? That shopping trolley handle with the droop. And are they makita springs?! As Matt points out, you'll need a little in the kitty to address some of these areas. I don't mind the purple, I'd be tempted to play nothing but The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, and Bauhaus whenever driving it. I already wear black. Shouldn't miss the opportunity to point out the photos are sub-optimal. A purple M3 driver, yesterday

Here is a photo of my Grandson sitting on a real one, this was at Wanganui Street races, this is the only Britten in the world that is still used/runs on a regular basis

Constructive criticism: Consider making a shot list and storyboard the things you want to talk about. Then film them, without the monologue. Record your voiceover using a vocal mic with pop filter, or a lavalier mic. Edit your audio in Audacity or similar. Then put it all together in iMovie or your preferred editing suite. If you really get in to voiceover, you can build a vocal booth out of cardboard and foam. Taking this approach tightens up your vlog, focusses on your messaging, avoids the wandering voice, and protects people from listening to your runny nose sniffs! Be relaxed in a comfortable space when you do your voiceovers, you'll not be distracted by operating the camera and moving around. Your audience will tune in to your message as your interest and passion will come through in your vocal, telling the story. I like the background music; consider using different tracks so it's not one repetitive loop through the whole clip. I loved your cutaways to action shots to illustrate and reinforce what you're talking about. keep it up, man! I'll now edit in some links. PS - I liked your intro graphics with the handprints. How do you do that?

Well that's at the other end of photoshop pictures, polar opposite. Cellphone camera pics are usually just lazy and usually of 1 angle of the car with no interior pics. Useless! Im talking about digital camera 20 high res pics, front, side, rear, interior, boot, engine, issues photographed etc - free from filters, enhancements or whatever else. That is how a car for sale should be shown. Not with arty, calendar style pics.

Well, according to this forum every car on trademe is over priced and over photoshopped.

for me this is a good thing. The fact that they have put some effort into the pictures makes me think they are proud of that car.I would like to think the car itself reflects that pride in its service history and overall presentation. If all the seller has i a quick snap from a phone it gives me pause to even consider it further

I don't agree with this, as it hides the reality of how a car looks in person. Might fool some people, bud I'd rather see large raw pictures of the car to make a judgement if it's worth looking at or not.

Would pay 20k if it was FULLY restored, ie rebuilt suspension, engine and trans.

The old adage is ringing true for the E60's, if you couldn't afford a new one, you can't afford an old one.

It's past it's use buy date . It's an old, 11 year old hand grenade. Buy it at the peril of your wallet getting emptied

My theory, banned or unregistered trader getting young adults to register under their name, and even help sell, probably get a commission or some sort, true vendor circumvents 6/year rule and remains absolved of dealer type responsibilities including the CGA, its genius.

This example has sat on Trademe for what seems like the past 18-24 months without selling. No VIN or plate on auction...K's seem suspicious as personally I don't think the photos reflect a 45,000km car (or at least someone who has properly cared for it over the claimed '45,000km'). My 2c? Tasteless mods, import, lack of service history, potentially troublesome SMG = overpriced. There are plenty of other M3's that will come up for sale at or around $27,000 that will be far better value for money.

Blah i wish mate, me and coffee are great mates ! Had a customer of sorts the ring and asked if i got his email of 2 weeks, i replied yes and when i get a chance ill configure all you need for your setup. His reply " but i need it now and you could potentially get a turbo sale from it" Potentially ? I asked, so he got told how it was. I've got well over 400 messages on my FB page to which i answered 100 of them one night ( they keep growing ) till 2 am and over the next week 5 people replied....so i may potentially get a sale from you? He changed his tune.

And that's a better example, maybe less fruit, but clean as. But that's been around for at least a year for sale, seconded only by the clown with the ACS E38 who wants 20k and has been trying to flick that for a couple of years. https://www.trademe.co.nz/1305680997

I get many customers from Oz who are sick of the Chang market there that do nothing but supply crap portraying it as quality products and they are sick of it, fair enough if they charged little and didn't hide that fact but not the case. Like i said i can supply OEM parts built unit and still make enough to pay the bills, and sleep at night.

Today, with the excellent help from Kerry of Mosen Euro Parts (Hamilton) we did the RMS, flywheel, clutch, gearbox oil, driveshaft coupling, shifter parts, and O2 sensors on my M5, plus a bit of cleaning etc as we went along. Six hours in total, pretty straight forward with all the right tools including a hoist and trans jack. The exhaust took a bit of mucking around to get off and on, one gearbox mounting bolt had rounded off and we had to get "creative" but all in all a great day - fricken cold though...
