Nuffin'. So far. I did have a good and friendly chat with the hiring manager post-interview while we walked around the main site I'd be at (although I could be anywhere from the top of Coromandel down to Palmy). That went on for a good 30 minutes or more - applicants not worthy of further consideration don't get the tour. But that's all I have at the moment. I have seen another job I'd really quite like (and probably enjoy) over in Hawkes Bay (again). I'm working up an application for that one.

Although i trusted the person that put my half cage in, i removed all the windows so it was easier for him to get in there, and for this reason. make sure you get the cage homologated before you paint it, they will need to inspect photos of it and often come back asking for more photos. you cant provide them these after it has been painted.

Hyperdrive.. I havent bought anything from these guys before (pretty much wrote them off as numpties HPing 20" chromies to idiots who cant afford them).. Corolla needs a new stereo, headunit is dead, speakers all shot. Ordered a cheap setup, Sony HU, 6" low spec Alpines and 4" JVCs. Hyper called me and said they had just sold out of the Alpines, but if I was happy they would sub them for something. I really DGAF, and expected some other low end speakers. Opened the box today, high end rockford fosgates! (waaay over double the price of the alpines). Winning!

As pictured is my sisters old car. Service not due for another 9000 kms. New brake rotors and pads last November. Cooling system done. New hoses plus expansion bottle etc. Rego till September. Wof till December but I can get a new one done at buyer's request. Fairly tidy for the ks. Just ticked over 201 kms. Would make a good daily or perfect first car. Just sitting here and surplus to requirements as she has bought a 330i now. Call or text 02102916373 for Viewing or 0211071845. Viewing in Glenfield. $2450ono

We all knew it was coming. I mean once you start to make cars like this it's guaranteed really.

Hey mate, i wish i could help just like a few of the members have also said. Not speaking from a parents perspective man, but i really can relate to what you mean about the realisation when materialistic possessions and money etc mean nothing anymore, it's the ones you love dearest that really hit home hard. I pray for nothing but the best for you and your son + family through whatever you guys are going through, stay strong, God Bless.

If you want some good around town point and squirt fun you have to go a long way to beat a John Cooper Works version of the 3 Door hatch. Just like the Italian Job, although try not to drive up the pavements, the police take a pretty dim view of that kind of thing.

If anyone is on the rather large Facebook page called classic cars and wrecks NZ you'll find a similar head up the arse attitude towards anything Euro with the exception of the pommie stuff that was popular back in the 60s/70s. Which made me laugh at your post - in 94 the E34 was ten times the car of the equalivant Commodore/Falcon, not to mention the 5spd auto and 210kw, vs a whopping 165kw from 5.0 cast iron boat anchor.

We popped in to Coombes Johnson in Hamilton for a chat with 'Parts' and had a browse while waiting. (Actually, I wanted to dribble on the Z4M out front.) We also saw the 3-pot Mini. It's not a bad car, but if we were to have a 'new' Mini, it'd be the Clubman, with the side opening rear doors.

1er owners- the ones who buy them new ie, the ones who matter to the company- don't know they have been buying RWD. If they DGAF then there isn't much incentive to keep selling them a more expensive to produce RWD platform. It's sole redeeming feature is that because it is a small car they couldn't fit those bloody stupid enormous grills they are ruining the rest of their lineup with.

My interview went well, but much experience tells me that means little or nothing. On my side, the hiring manager did say that there was nothing that gave him any cause for concern, and had he thought I wasn't in the running, I would have been out much sooner. (I was there for 2 hours.) So... Now we wait. Some more. In the meantime, here's a pic of a nice-looking E46 coupe in New Plynouth.
