Hi Folks Bit of a break from the E21 Group 5 to give the old 6 Series a long overdue birthday and have decided to make some headers for her. Bought a couple of M30 header flanges from Autobend (incorrectly supplied in MS rather than the requested SS 304) but they are a bloody awful fit - the bolt holes are off and the ports are not in quite the right place no matter how they are turned around. Plan is to squash and smack the 1.5" primaries to fit through the flange and weld both sides. Whilst they have reordered the flanges correctly in SS 304, there is so much work to make them right that I think I will start from scratch and get them waterjetted just down the road. Does anybody happen to have a CAD drawing file for the M30 headers that I could have a copy of please? I have a PDF with a couple of dimensions, but really need a DFX file or similar. Was a fault with the dbw not communicating with tac to ecu...so sent to sparky mate in hamilton...all sorted now and the muddhas are all chatting along...so..next week.....rrrrRRRRRREEEEEVVVVVVVS!!!!??????

Stoked, they look better than I expected. Proper 1er offsets drag them in a bit compared to the RC's but that also means they won't rub! Initial impressions of the R003's (with the mould release still on them) is that they're very communicative whilst remaining really quite, good signs.

I got a decent AGM High Capacity batty for around $400 (from memory?), Koba SA59520 95AH (20HR), 850A (EN), 180MIN (RC) recommended as excellent VFM. Mine's been in since Oct 2019 and only ~5000kms (because Covid), and there's be ZERO issues in that time.

What's "not the case"? If you want another hobby, by all means build custom PCs. If you want to execute everyday tasks without worry - such as processing images or video, designing web pages, surfing the web, etc - you have more time to do it, for longer, with a Mac. The PC is a project car. The Mac is a new BMW with three year's servicing. Sure, you may prefer the project car and the tinkering, but you can't argue it'll give you more time to drive. The Mac you pay once; you don't need to apply more money, though the PC's modular raison de etre is to provide opportunity to 'upgrade'.

Im currently running a slightly older i5-6400 skylake PC but will probably move it on and switch over to the ipad air 4 to have a glorified expensive web browser

Currently rocking a GTX 1070 and I7 4770, will definitely be looking at an AMD Zen3 CPU for my next build and probably Big Navi. @Olaf I’ve dealt with enough Macs in my time to know that’s not the case, unless of course, you apply more money to the affected area... which fixes any and all issues

Gas torch, get it very hot and small bends at a time on a soft surface roller. (Used a vice and wooden rolling pin)

Ive seen pipe bent after filling it with sand, as long as it cleans out ok afterwards it should help it from crushing on itself
