You have the patience Audi looks for in its customers.

If you bought it in 2002 and serviced it well then of course it will treat you good. We are comparing this with thrashed and bashed drifterz that has seen years of abuse and neglect. Any car is as reliable as how well its been treated imo. (Generally)

Hi guys, I need one 8x17 wheel, not fussed in what style, as it’s for a spare in my 530, currently has a nine inch spare, which can’t be fitted to the front closer to Wellington the better Thanks Barry

Re: the RR - that's 70k to buy and then another 15k a year to keep it going...

No - accident was simply lower bumper catching on curb while parking at 0.5 kmph. Trans leak is some apparently common gasket around mechatronic? Anyway, its being sorted but yeah... what a great start.

That's *very* dodgy. I'd be rejecting the car if there remains any option to, but you may be happy to ride it out. I hope you get a satisfactory outcome. Is the transmission issue related to the accident?

Have you checked pricing of diesel wagons recently? Even F30 330Ds are $40K+ That’s why I drive the sedan with the smaller engine. Which even then wasn’t that cheap to buy...

@GorGasm http://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2888857002 has just been listed. Was previously (optimistically) up at 85k privately. Happy to see these are coming down in price, quite an appealing upgrade from mine in 540i x-drive format.

Bring it to the meet on Sunday

So I took my car into P&S to get the new rear axles and wheel bearings fitted ahead of the trackday I had booked for Sunday, in the hope that it would cure the annoying vibration I had. It didn't end up going quite to plan though, the axles and wheel hubs were totally seized in the wheel carriers and they couldn't get them apart at all! So they ended up having to source some replacement wheel carriers and hubs, just to be able to fit the new axles and bearings. Unfortunately that meant my car had to stay on the lift over the weekend and I missed the trackday 😥 After courier delays, and being sent the wrong part TWICE, I finally got my car back yesterday evening after 6 days!! Good news though is the vibration is totally cured now! The car now drives like a BMW should again, FINALLY!! So despite the drama, and missing the track day I am stoked to have the car back and just be able to enjoy it again. I have pretty much replaced everything on this car that can possibly need replacing, so now looking forward to just driving it, and hopefully not have to do anything else to it for a while. Next job is to give it a proper clean and then bring it along to the meet on Sunday. Hopefully will get to see a few of the other 130s there too!

Finally road legal!! Well, once the RUC and rego labels arrive! Next mission is to straighten a slightly buckled style 66 wheel and get some tyres on them, was going to do a full refurb but I kinda like the idea of rough looking wheels on a rough looking car for now. Will get an alignment once new feet are on. Also need to install wiring for power to the car trailer, and install 50mm towball. Then rear subframe bushes and suspension arms. Then trans filter and gasket and new fluid again. Then....

Since I live my life a quarter mile at a time I decided to upgrade my neons. This new setup uses led strips with 60 leds per meter, as opposed to my old setup which used 30 leds per meter (now twice as bright so twice the street cred). The led strips are addressable meaning you make make then do all kinds of stuff not even seen in the new Need for Speed. I put together the whole thing custom including the wiring harness (and no, I won't sell you one because I don't want anyone stealing my thunder (or should I say lightening) at a car meet). The end result is this: NFS-final.mp4 Also a final shot showing off the interior lights as well which are hooked up to turn on when the doors open.

It's a 10 year old thread. PM the seller. However they have posted once in 9 years, 2 years ago.
