I spent a few weeks over Xmas exploring some of the lesser traveled roads of the South Island with fellow Biimmer enthusiast Boytie. Had a grand old time saw some bits of NZ that most don't and got to test our skills and abilities on some interesting roads and passes. My bike is a 2012 BMW F800GS and Boytie rode his old F650GS. The F650 had a couple of issues but none that stopped us for too long. The 800 was a model of reliability and handled the dirt very well.

Try a brace of Fiji Green @ Skope! A pretty rare occurrence!

As above, it's the RACP (rear-axle carrier panel) itself that has the issue, not the subframe. Take a read through this: https://cmpautoengineering.com/pages/part-1-will-my-e46-subframe-crack-how-will-i-know I'm personally running CMP's underfloor plates and topside beam kit on my E46 M3 Sedan build.

The subframe itself isn’t the problem on e46. It’s the flawed design of the chassis the subframe bolts to.

Last time we push this beast😬 She looking different nowdays. The semi chisel contours of the 36 feeling more defined...like shes finally almost ready, stanced, not for low'ness, but for whats under her hood...eagerly awaiting to be unleashed!! And those 3.5s look mental from a distance.....like..."look at this POSER"πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Didn't really miss your point, I was just being a smart ass. They are quite different cars, I understand. I've only had the Z3 a short time so still getting acquainted with it and the shocks are stuffed so can't push it too hard. Where can I get a set of rear Bilsteins cheap? Way off topic now, but where's the cheapest place to buy Bilsteins in NZ? (I will be using the stock springs :-0)

Such an enjoyable & pleasing part of the build....!!!πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜Ž Have to raise the gearbox and lower the driveshaft center bearing to align the driveshaft coupling to flange. Clearances are so sweet btw!!! Bled the clutch. My first thoughts were I would have to change the master to accomodate the V8 pressure plate...but nah. Steerling Brake advised the 3/4 bore from the e36 master would work...and....shes has a soft az paddleπŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— Have to get and fit the O2 sensors to the exhaust and prep and spray. Oh yea...to tidy up that rear mount of muffler. ..looks rough. Will shift it to the upper so wont be visible. 20210208_085712_1.mp4

A selection of some German machinery spotted at the Skope Classic at Ruapuna this weekend... The engine bay on the "Brock" e30 M3 was the finest piece of work I've seen for a while. The S54 powered e87 was also very well sorted...

Hello all, I appreciate having the opportunity to join a place where fellow BMW enthusiasts congregate. I love my BMWs. My first was a 2007 BMW 335i Touring - Black on black with black interior. (Mobile doesn't seem to let you input pictures) My second was a 2008 BMW 530i Sedan - White. My third is a 2007 BMW 335i Touring - Metallic Blue with Tan Interior Today I performed a repair (and upgrade) on the automatic gear shifter which lost its indication lights and would not enter DS mode. It was fairly straightforward an I am happy with the result which should now last the life of the car. I look forward to learning more about others' rides, and drawing on their experience with these awesome machines. See you in the forums! HAINSWOF

Hi All New to this site, just traded in the 2014 C63 for a 2015 M4.....night and day between them. Have only seen 1 other black M4 in Wellington, wonder how many others there are? I am keen on adding 12mm spacers to wheels and a lip, side skirts and diffuser at some stage. Any advice on where to get good quality non-OEM parts would be appreciated. Cheers
