Installed adjustable sway bar end links and readjusted my short shifter throw and height. Then gave it a wash and wax to celebrate, looking like a rolling mirror. Went to Supermarket, come back to my car and some prick has thrown a half empty 2 litre coke bottle next it, splashing coke on one side. See a small group of teenagers not far away sitting on one of those big clothing recycling bins drinking coke - I take the bottle up to them and asked angrily if they had dropped their bottle - it become pretty clear who was the culprit so I barked a mini lecture and flicked the bottle up at him, fortunately scoring a direct hit in the face. Got home and the coke had beaded right off, thanks CarPro Elixer - hopefully the kids learnt a little lesson too.

Not sure it’s quite gauche enough for our Wayne, but I do believe it is a European edition - The Safetywomble HiVis Safety Edition where any car capable of more than 50km/h has to be easily seen.πŸ˜‚ Spotted on the drive this week-end.

A X7 with β€œX3” on the back of it. Yes, I double checked...

Hmmm awfully convenient it went for $100 less than what it was asking for. There was some shameless shill bidding early in the piece as well. Interior colour not to everyone's taste, but I'm surprised this hasn't sold yet. Factory 6-spd would be hens teeth in NZ. More than you can afford pal, Ferrari BMW.

Hate to say it but I saw them in person this week... and... yeah they actually are much nicer to look at in the flesh. There's a "nardo grey" M3 at the Christchurch dealer and my first impression on seeing it is that it looks badass. I hated them in photos. I sat in the carbon seats. I love them. You do have to climb in and out of them though due to the bolster. Impressive that they even still have the inflatable side bolsters like the regular sport seats. I want those seats in my M4.

You can try as much as you want to convince people otherwise, but thats sh*t is f**k ugly and not even its mother could love it. I'd hate to be a salesman trying to sell that garbage.

Yea Sedgwick did a good job of the market value assessment. They ended up landing on a number very close to what I paid for it. They've assessed two other cards for me/Vero in the last two years and always been fair. It'd be nice to see as much of the car re-used as possible. To keep others alive. Rather than getting trashed at pick-a-part. I'd part it myself but haven't the space or time.

I just hate that its so many lines and sharp angles. The grilles just the fly on top of the sh*t pile. In comparison the previous model looks so sleek and well designed.

Suspension upgrade Before the engine went bang I had just pulled the trigger on some Bilstein Touring shocks and Eibach Prokit springs from Demon Tweaks. I already had rear sachs shocks I purchased from @Eagle which were for the motorsport setup so went with the B4's which from the looks of realOEM are the factory motorsport package shocks. New bits Lemforder front shock mounts Bump stops and dust covers Bilstein B4 front shocks #BLS22-139948, BLS22-139931 Eibach Prokit springs #EIBE2067-140 Meyle HD rear shock mounts Sachs rear shocks #556 882 I got a shop to do the spring compressor part but i DIY'd the rest to try save on labour (the rear is pretty labour intensive) the rear shocks were completely dead. rear spring height comparison bit of trim removal Found 1 random Monroe up the front. New fronts After a few KM's they are settling in. So far I'm really impressed with the quality of the ride. Comfort vs handling I think it's a great combo for the daily driver.

Hands down the best 404 screen I ever met https://www.carthrottle.com/post/66dy4dx/ Try all combinations of the arrow keys to see how it works. Cheers...

If you want daily driver E36 with decent fuel economy then you be far better off going for a 318i with the DOHC M42 or M44 engine instead. Far easier to work on, less problematic and cheaper to fix than 6 cylinders.
