This price seems crazy to me. Photo makes it look like there are likely rodents living in there as well... Am I just out of touch with the m20b25 engine market? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/engines/listing/5489058511

It was good getting the E30 out on a sunny winters morning 😁

Another skid bro's flogged E36. I think the odds of anyone buying a car like that on this forums are minimal.

Yes to decals. Yes to adding the awful ACS iDrive sticker that looks like a type 4 wheel as well.

No to decals, yes to everything else you're doing.

Really late to this. But I have the Laufenns on my commuter 130i and put them on the manual 130i I had. Even on the back of the E55 now. I have tracked the LK03's and they were actually quite impressive. They were grippy when cold and as I pushed through the laps they didn't fall off for quite some time. Actually the brakes faded before the tyres did. This was with a stock 130i with a standard alignment on a dry day. My wife was chasing me around in her 200SX with Dunlop DZ101's which faded around the time my brakes faded. There was minimal wear after a full track day. The outside edges did show some heat cycles but that would be solved by increasing negative camber with the camber pin mod. The wet performance has been unnoticed. Which is a good thing. No oversteer. No understeer. I've written up experiences on them in the past. They are the best bang for buck tyre out there. The E55 is a different beast though. It struggles for rear grip. But it did just as much on Potenzas which lasted half long and cost 4 times more. This car eats tyres due to poor rear adjustment. So I am glad I have found a tyre that is good enough and cheap. I'm getting 90% of performance of a UHP tyre for a fraction of the price.

This 328i has some history. The bad: - Odo hasn't worked in over 10 years (it will occasionally start working every couple of days for an hour or however it pleases). Estimation from the driving I did with it from and the previous owners admissions put it probably over 400k km, the chassis is absolutely flogged. - Spent some considerable time in the far north on the coast, everywhere you'd expect rust, expect more. Paint is flogged too. When the seller says "Body is rough, was on the to do list." that list won't end. - 13 years ago had a hole in the passengers side A pillar at the base near the arch. About the size of a 20c piece but it had rusted completely through. - Gearbox was noisy back then. Hopefully it's had some new fluid? The good: - Car IS factory manual ZF, IDK where the story started that it was manual swapped - maybe when the "Vin Decoders" weren't working as intended. - Non Airbag from factory (early 328) - Has had a tune put on it for the M50 manifold - Looks like quite a bit of servicing has been performed, although the Wof failing rust once again hasn't been disclosed so take from that as you will

20 years ago, I had two 316i manual coupes, a few cars apart. While I don’t regret selling(except regret of selling bronzit one to a twat) they were a couple of the coolest cars I’ve owned.

Got to take the ‘vert out for a short drive to East Auckland BMW for the 50 Years of 3 Series event, as I finally managed to get the Tech 1 front bumper all together and on to the car.

Exhaust back on, now with symmetrical thrust again, then I started playing with the steering wheel... This was an absolute ball ache and I'm never doing it again Started with an easy fix for skanky lemons steering wheel, stitch on a new cover. Turns out the cover i got was a 1:1 copy of the original leather.... So I thought, cool let's just remove the original leather. Things escalated. Found some 2mm EVA foam (quite cool sh*t, its hold it shape once heated, cos play people use it) and then 3m77 and refoamed the wheel, then install new cover. IPA cleans off the destroyed soft touch rubber coating on the centre easily. Total cost, about $34NZD... and waaaaayy too many hours. It's not perfect, but looks pretty good from a foot away and most importantly it feels right.
