Exactly, who's being a dick? Name and shame. How irresponsible. And are the existing (remaining) site sponsors complaining (loudly)?

I best avoid Petone next weekend in case I accidentally buy an M3. Lovely.

I have finally found the last car that I will have for a while. I have been searching all kinds of models to decide what to go for from E92 335i , E82 135i, E46 M3, E92 M3, M235i and also a renault megane RS265 but I have finally settled on what I think is the best car for me at this point which is the F20 M135i with N55 and 8 Speed ZF auto. Coming from a long list of previous BMW's as most of you know, it had to be a substantially newish car for it to be worth while upgrading. When I saw this come up for sale I jumped on it instantly, test drove and paid and collected within an hour of listing. Anyway, it ticks every single box on my requirements list - newness, powerful, practical, mod-able, and of course still BMW. (I still have my E46 which I absolutely love and would love to keep but I just dont see myself driving it as much now I have this thing which works great as a daily and a weekend car) I was lucky to find one with a sunroof which was my biggest requirement and this also came with a M performance exhaust already fitted which makes a great sound. Anyway, if you come long to the coffee meet no doubt you will see it but here are a couple of quick photos!

After weeks of successfully ignoring the classified, I finally cracked and messaged @qube about the car. He was extremely patient with my questions, at first general, then specific, and finally random as it became increasingly clear that I was very keen on the car. I had a yarn on the phone with @EUROHO, whose enthusiasm for the car tipped me right over the edge. My father-in-law and I flew up from Vellington last weekend, and Kyu picked us up from the airport. We chatted with him and his dad in a supermarket carpark before shaking hands and promising to treat it right. They were both gentlemen, and it was a pleasure to meet them. We filled up at a motorway services on the southern motorway. I was impressed that when we got home the obc still promised 150km of good times in the tank. We stopped at Good Union in Cambridge on the way - a lovely church that has been converted into a great pub/restaurant. Apart from a leg stretch in Bulls, we knocked the drive out in one from there, and had a great drive, SH32 from Cambridge down to Turangi was a lot of fun.

Now THIS is the car to get if you wanted an E36 M3 and can live with SMG (or want to convert it). An Evo, in techno, low KM, NZDM, carbon, and individual "Blue Violet" leather. Not a fan of the eyebrow things or the exhaust tips, but easily fixed. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1618648582.htm?rsqid=9eea54c35483401fa0dc765eadc08ca5 ======================================== Vehicle information ======================================== VIN: WBSBG92080EA89949 Type code: BG92 Model: Мotorsport (EUR) E-F-R series: E36 2 Series: 3 Type: COUPE Steering: RL Doors: 2 Engine: S50 Displacement: 3.20 Power: 236 (321 hp) Drive: HECK Transmission: MECH Paint code: 299 - TECHNO-VIOLETT METALLI Upholstery code: Z1XX - SONDERPOLSTERUNG Prod.date: 1997-11-24 S209 Differential lock 25% S243 Airbag for front passenger S246 Manually adjust. steering column S302 Alarm system S314 Door mirror, driver lock, heated S325 Rear spoiler S362 Vent window, electric, rear S401 Lift-up-and-slide-back sunroof, electric S410 Window lifts, electric, front S428 Warning triangle and first aid kit S431 Interior rear-view mirror with auto dip S440 non-smoker package S458 Electr. front seat adjustment S465 Through-loading system S498 Headrests mechanically adjustable, rear S510 Headlight vertical aim control S520 Fog lights S534 Automatic air conditioning S542 Check Control S548 Kilometre speedo S554 On-board computer V with remote control S672 CD changer for 6 CDs S676 HiFi speaker system S687 Radio preparation S710 M sports steering wheel, multifunction S793 SEQUENTIELLES M-GETRIEBE S818 Battery master switch S850 Additional Export tank filling S853 Language version, English S864 Dealer List Overseas S880 Operating instructions, English S925 Dispatch protection pack ======================================== Individual equipment ======================================== ---- Processing Individual Sign quot; BMW individual quot; Z1XX Upholstery Individual Collection: Leather in current BMW standard colors. I don't mind executing panning shots of your car while you drive up and down the road; we just need to sort out a mutually convenient time, and preferably a cloudy day

Penrite HPR5 (5W40) meets LL01, and is effectively heavier than standard 5W30, if that's any help. Runs great in my M54. Have you changed out oil pressure sensor?
  8. 1 point
today (Tuesday 2 May, 2018): e46 at 184035kms. (6 years ownership, 72,000kms). - oil change (Penrite HPR5), oil filter (MAN-HU9254), Air Filter (MAN-C251141) - replaced steering coupler (BMW 32-30-6-761-571). E10 E-torx and wobble joint and extensions, 16mm socket, long pry-bar, red threadlocker. A ramp helps. Need to figure out how to straighten the steering wheel - oops. - also changed out Air Box mounting grommets (BMW 13711702508). There's a squeal that can occur when they wear out, at around 3000rpm. Many thanks to @Barryn for assistance! Next steps: Windscreen replacement, lock barrel replacement, new key, headlight lens remediation (again). And then in the next few months, the list of remedial maintenance; replace valve cover gasket (again), oil filter housing gasket (again), new spark plugs (again), auto trans filter and fluid (again), and probably VANOS seals.

I showed this to my female friend fully expecting her to crack up laughing... "That looks cool!" Maybe it's not a joke after all The first question on the Q and A is a crack-up too "Whoa! Lock up your daughters!"

Fook. You don't see many good ones come up often and that's a good one at a sharp price. Exhaust tips must go but that's easy. Eyelids must go but that's easy. Carbon decals must go but that's easy. Genuine ACS rear window spoiler. Electric rear vents!!!!! And as far as Individual leather colours go, that's hardly offensive and seems to be in very good condition. Now, as for SMG, well it's not my preference but they can now be serviced/fixed in the aftermarket so you're not looking at $5k if something goes wrong. They're not as elegant as a DCS and take some getting used to (expect to spend a month jerking around everywhere) but they're not entirely terrible. I certainly wouldn't fork out the ~$4k (?) required to get it converted. Pity there's no service history listed - if you don't know if the VANOS and cooling system have been done (probably not at 92k kms) you'll need to front ~$2k for that immediately but I still think it's a bargain at $22k. Somebody needs to buy this (and bring it to Auckland for me to fawn over).

Mmmm intake noises! It would feel like a different car. Should be able to see it glisten down the road with that grille

It's not the mods. It's further up the chain and that's why we have lost so many sponsors and really knowledgeable members over the last few years

By flap, he means this: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-european-bmw-parts/csl-intake-flap/11617833498~oee/ Looks like you already have Karbonius' CF replacement, based on your pictures. If you did want to run the genuine CSL flap, you'll need to have an MSS54HP DME modified to have the H-Bridge IC to actuate the flap. There are a few other parts you'll need for your conversion which I didn't see pictured: MSS54HP DME (your car may have an MSS54HP or an MSS54) MAP sensor (unfortunately BMW/Bosch has stopped producing the 'proper' sensor, but take a look at this thread) IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor P/N 13621739510, 12521427615, 12521732635 Air filter Air rail P/N 13417833597 Vent hose P/N 11157833649 Other bits if your car is SMG (fluid tank & bracket)

@M3AN looking at pins! it doesn't come with pins so will have to be a "once its on" decision, I dont as yet if it "needs" them. I totally agree with you in terms of company's that claim x amount of HP per part I am a realist and the dyno will be the true argument settler! Yes the K&N air intake system is $675 USD that's about $954 NZD, the you have import taxes of about $200.

Cats are in and rasp is gone. It's so damn quiet, can barely hear exhaust. But intake ... oh my. The intake. This is a good sounding motor. I also go these in today's courier, final piece of the OEM puzzle ..! Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

I snapped up @Lucan's Xenons on trademe a while back. After abit of wet sanding and buffing they are in pretty good shape. Installed without having to be coded in too which was cool. Looking forward to going for a drive in the dark now. I also finally put the last two heat shields back on and after checking for oil leaks since the major overhaul (bone dry) put the splash guard back on.

Hey dude, let me know if you find out what caused it. If it was a failure of one of the parts that we replaced I am happy to claim warranty for you.
