    E36 M3 3.0

Nice one. Hope you got what you were looking for and that it went to a god home!
  2. Maybe post it in the TradeMe section. I know nothing about it but it's unusually sensibly priced.
  3. The rear shock mount reinforcements (just get Z3 ones, nothing special required) are installed on the top of the shock tower in the boot, you don't need to remove the shock, just the nuts.
  4. lol - of course you're correct, I'm an idiot.
  5. And you'll need spring compressors. Not for the rears you wont. As a matter of interest how much were the shocks if you don't mind?

    E46 M3 project

Nice project Tom. And the green... why? I'm afraid that looks terrible.
  7. Welcome! Wheels on the parts car look sweet!
  8. Yes, the most difficult thing for me is that I can't drive it either...
  9. Yep, that's my mate's one. It's quick, to that I can attest. Edit: and the final detail including undercarriage makes it look brand new.
  10. They generally put the ///M in front of the numbers when designating motorsport editions in the past but this was a dealer, not factory, option. For example ///M 328i but 328is was also used. If I were adding a ///M badge (I probably wouldn't) I'd put it first for sure.
  11. If a tree falls in the @Forrest and nobody hears it does it really exist? Any comments on recent posts OP?
  12. Thanks , yes I'd considered both poly and offset and went with OEM M3 centred versions. For my needs and with the slushbox I couldn't justify an alignment or any more NVH. When I do the M3 however . . .
  13. It's going to be a fascinating ride. Wow. Americans are more stupid than the English... after Brexit I wasn't sure. Americapocalypse
  14. All good mate, love what you're doing.
  15. ^ Nevertheless, relevant advice for me some 4 weeks ago!
  16. Nice, although I couldn't unsee the curb rash on the LHF rim. Where's that single lane road? And what did your wife say?
  17. Bonus. The CD changer in the boot has a cassette and a bunch of (ripped) CD's. Thanks to @BreakMyWindow for the suggestion to check! Now I just need to work out how to activate it.
  18. That 323 is very nice and the work gone into it is fantastic. Our Auckland monthly meet is open to all cars as long as you're a BMW enthusiast. We even let Michael continue to bring his Toymotor.
  19. So I checked this a week or so ago actually and noticed that whilst both bushes were okay they were different from one and other, not a set. New bushes due this week and then warrant and rego time.
  20. Posting a link to the thread in the other forum is cool, nobody around here will get upset. No need to copy stuff unnecessarily. My lol (but great) 328: http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/56912-another-e36-my-328-beater/ My M3: http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/47049-m3an-e36-m3-plog-project-log/
  21. ^ Glenn is good and most modern BMW's require a lot of servicing.
  22. Not sure how accurate that ^ is? Doesn't match up to the attached which come from a pretty reputable source. Lots of cam data here: http://www.catcams.com/engines/engine-selection.aspx?SelectedManufacturer=4 S50B30.pdf S50B32.pdf
  23. That 318i is too expensive IMHO. What's your budget? My E36 328i (auto) is on the road and soon to be warrantable for well under $3k. Your old blue (Avus?) coupe looks sweet. Edit: welcome to the board and NZ. Congrats on the rugby!
