  1. Hi John first off are you sure it is the cam sensors and not some other related issue ie fault in wires from the sensor. To be on the safe side it is best to replace these with oem or even genuine as their have been a number of posts made on this forum of trouble with second hand ones and even so called new ones. These are used on a number of bms have a chat to Gavin at Euro-Italian a forum sponsor to get some idea of what they will cost you. Then try the overseas firms to compare prices plus the time delay to get them here best of luck.
  2. Surely it's not that hard to take a front wheel off. Or find out which market it was speced for as you mention 348 US China, 365 Euro, UK. Also the rears are smaller again.
  3. Or well some of us learn the hard way it seems.
  4. Have a look here https://www.google.co.nz/#q=n42+vacuum+pump+replacement and take your pick. The N42 and n46 are notorious for it they will empty your wallet quicker than anything else BMW has made.

    Oil leaks M54

Topped off the oil today after replacing the sump gasket on the ti. While in their fitted new engine mounts, dipstick to oil separator hose, "O" ring to the dip stick , "O" ring power steer res, oil filter, air filter and plenty of engine degreaser to clean the under side panels etc. The inside of the sump was not a pretty sight had a tide mark around it and heavy staining took some cleaning but got their in the end. Had previously replaced the cam cover gasket and rubber washers as these had been leaking which I hoped would have fixed the problem hoping against all odds. But no it was from the sump gasket so with that fixed maybe just maybe might get to have a little drive time before something else comes along.
  6. Any of these of use to you https://www.google.co.nz/#q=e91+sunroof+repairs. Seems they can be a pain best of luck
  7. Had a little look at this and it appears to have been imported from Singapore ,Rego NZ 29 Aug 2000, assembled in Dec 94. Running the vin through a decoder the spec list on this is not as long as I would have thought being a 7 series. As others have mentioned the double glazing does not make it bullet proof maybe hand bag though. Same old story if mum ain't happy not body is!
  8. Try here http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog Put the last seven digits of your vin in the box bmw vin click decode it will come up with the relevant parts fitted to your vehicle. For a 2000 330 the brakes are the same for a d model as a petrol front 325x25, rear 320x22 not sure on diff would think it is a medium case. The ratios are different from the petrol, diesel models manual trans 2.28, 2.81 auto ,petrol man trans 2.93 auto 3.38 info came from the above site
  9. Not sure on the South island but Toll, Main freight, phone book under freight company's might be a local firm that does that run
  10. Have a look on e-bay the electric replacement fan units seem to sell for around 100 to110 then you have freight to pay. The fan couplings range from 80 up to 300 for a gen BMW plus freight again. Both systems have their pro's and con's up to the individual to choose. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Cooling-Fan-Assembly-Fits-99-06-BMW-E46-3-series-325-330-17117561757-/271957793065?fits=Make%3ABMW|Model%3A325i&hash=item3f51f29929:g:JNUAAOSwgApXA1dP&vxp=mtr http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearch/PEL_search_2014.cgi?command=show_part_page&please_wait=N1&make=BMW&model=0216&section=WATRAD&page=5&bookmark=12&part_number=11-52-7-505-302-M6

  14. Hi, Have you checked the condition of the wiring under the passengers seat. Both the sensor pad and the seat belt buckle wires from memory their was a problem with these braking and sending weird messages. Best of luck they can be a pain in the rear trying to find them even with the best gear.

Hi, know what you mean mine is in the same state had to clean the tail lights to make them visible, shame. if I may what made you decide on another beemer and an e90 when after reading a few articles all the faults they a prone to and the level of electronics that go wrong plus making it beyond the average diy' er to fix things on them.

Hi Olaf, Thanks for that have been in touch with Jim think his name was from Rimrite and was told some where from 600 -800 for a set of 4 to be repaired and repainted depending on how bad they are. Have talked to a number of people and they say they are good but very slow their also is someone in Paraparumu that does them more research to find out who they are etc. They look nice when clean and no curbing how's your search going for another car plus how did you go with that panel beating trip you had under way?

Thanks guys missed the set Brent had for sale. A listing for another set has just finished on Trademe they were badly curbed in my opinion which raises my next question what sort of money is one looking at to have a set of wheels repaired repainted etc.thanks
  22. The e39 I owned had what was called comfort seats these had electric operated lumbar supports along with all the other adjustments very nice on a long drive. Upon researching I found a standard and sport seat were also available but not with adjustable lumbar support. Depends on what box's were ticked when first ordered no doubt Their might be a D.I.Y that could be done to fit them if required.

Have had a look at the 194's close but not really the ti m sport 325 is not your common type so a little rare can only be good (Chuckle 0. The 194 are a bit fatter in the tyre size also and the off set I'm not sure about. Have tried some e46 sedan M sport wheels 255/45 I think on the rear of the ti and I could see they were going to be trouble. The 97's on the front are 7.5 offset 47 tyre 225/45x17 while the rears are 8.5 offset 50 tyre 245/40x17 be interesting.
