Was under the impression Great White's are a protected species??. Feel for the family concerned over their lose but have to wonder what the person was doing to make the shark attack him in the middle of the day. Also to have fired at the shark possibly hitting it then loosing it wounded that shows great humanity. Have to side with Micheal on this and one stage further. It's your responsibility to make dam sure you have a clean kill or total miss don't leave a wound creature to die in agony.

Geess that would make your day they were kind enough to put blocks under it ( or did you) not just undo the wheel nuts and ripe the wheels out letting the vehicle crash to the road coursing more damage. That said not the state you want to see your pride and joy in time for an insurance claim and some new wheels??. Hope you get it sorted McG

mmm, On the surface the bumper doesn't look to bad. It is behind it that also may have been damaged that can be a problem and you don't find it until it is dismantled. Remove the front bumper (not difficult) and check it all out get a quote to repair the bumper, paint and any other damaged bits then compare prices.

Hi: You need to sit down and think what is this vehicle going to be used for. If you are doing a lot of highway cruising then the 5r is the one to go for, owned a e39 530i for 5 odd years. If you don't mind spending the extra in fuel then go for the 540 but I would say the 530 is the best of the bunch power to weight ratio and a late model 2003 "M" sport version has all the extras fitted etc etc. On the other hand if you are a city driver then the 3r would be a better option easier to park slightly lighter on gas model dependent of course etc. Faults well this item has been flogged to death just have a search on here look up buying a bmw what to look for. Cooling systems higher K's both. Steering wobble when braking suspension bush's, wrapped rota's both models Cam, crank sensors e46 Headlights fogging, discoloured lenses early model e39 Wiring in the boot, body area rubber tube piece e39 to name but a few Have read reviews on the e46 and one went so far and stated an ordinary motor vehicle reliant on to much electronic gadgetry to make the grade. To be fair the e39 does not come off as clean either.

Try this might help http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E39/Tour...99/june/browse/ Fuel pump is in the tank, has fuel filter mounted left inside chassis rail up front. The finished product looks goods always rewarding to see the finished item must say it looked in reasonable condition despite having been left for so long unattended best of luck in bringing it back.

No pictures of them and was a few years back now since I owned one or even rode do have some good memories. Started with a 185 Suzuki trail bike used this to try out motor cross. 125 XL Honda bit under powered. 175 XL Honda nice power but a bit heavy to remove from a tight spot. 250 trials bike wasn't quick but heeps of grunt got into and out of a lot of tight spots on this bike 350 x4 Honda this was the only street bike I owned was really after a 500 x4 at the time.

Hello and welcome to the forum congratulations on your choice of bmw picking that it is an e46 manual or auto?. As for the "M" badge well I will leave that for the more knowledge on here to comment as it is common for people just to stick a "M' on anything these days and the genuine vehicles lose out. The nav set up can be made to work here in NZ give Hot wire ( Grant ) a pm and he will fill you in on what is required. Depending on the amount of damage to the front bumper (pic's ) find some one that repairs plastic's. As for cleaning your baby use good quality car cleaning products Meguires springs to mind. Their will be other these can be obtained from Repco , Super cheep and any good auto supplier. Photo's are a must it appears no pic doesn't exist haha when you upload them make sure they are no larger than 800 x 600 or they won't load.

Don't mean to be a joy germ do you have an idea of some of the e36 and ti faults.
-
Thank you Tom for sharing your experience with us it is very satisfying to me to have some one lay it out like you have done. Do the faults you mentioned raise their head in the standard E90 range petrol/ diesel versions or only the M3 etc.

If you don't mind interested to know what happened??? but not all to technical thanks.
