  1. Yup, had the exact same thing happen to me coming home from the Corromandel over New Years. Was on the Dual carriage way.
  2. Quentin Tarantino and his taxi... 2016 7 series.
  3. Got a repeating dtc for the bank 2 exhaust cam sensor. Swapped it out for a spare I had from my other M5. Never had any errors on the spare sensors but it's probably on borrowed time. Car was running like a bag of d1cks when the dtc showed up. Hopefully a quick fix. Next up is front discs and pads, the twilight track day didn't help but they were already nearing the end of their life. Will post up some pics when I do the job.
  4. Bump. Will let it go for 24.5k to bimmersporters.
  5. Got a decent one s/h My other M5 has no bubbling whuch is strange... Defect from factory affecting some?
  6. Statistics stack up the most probable cause for all cases reviewed when it comes to all these road tolls. Look at countries stats where alcs is banned for national road tolls?
  7. After having a few low ballers and time wasters during the sale process of my first M5 I decided to make a few improvements to improve the appearance for any new interested buyers. Wet sanded, polished and waxed the headlights. Pretty straight forward.. 600,800,1000,1200,1500,2000 grits followed by some Meguiars full strength cut compound and a final coat of Mothers caranuba wax. Pics don't quite do it justice but you get the idea. Before : After : Next up was to replace an exterior door trim piece that had suffered some corrosion.. chemical reaction I believe as this part is made of aluminium. Old : New : Finally I completed the trunk tool kit with the missing tools :

too many factors which make up 'tyre wear' A good starting point is suspension geometry. Yes you're going to pay through the nose for good tyres but these will also out perform mediocre tyres in various aspects as judged by the motoring journalists who go through the hassle of testing them. just don't put land sails on the M3. Please.

Discount tyres can get pss in. I paid 650 for each rear in 275/35/18 size. Managed to find a front set in 245/40/18 new off tm for 600 so keep your eyes peeled.

I run Invo's on one M5, and PSS on the other. The Invo's have much worse wet weather grip then the Michelin's
  12. Drove it on the beautifully twisty roads up to the Corromandel.
  13. I reckon first owners not paying attention to the warm up lights in their s54's and S62's has contributed largely to the premature engine failures. Tom posted the dets that I linked in previous post about the differences between TWS and SN... sweet f all. I've been running SN in both my M5's. And have done over 35,000kms with it. I let the warm up lights go out, and wait for the oil temp to get to around 78 deg C before getting enthusiastic. No issues.
  14. Edge 10w 60SN from reppers or supercheap is pretty much the same thing http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/47977-bmw-m-approved-castrol-edge-tws-10w-60-vs/
  15. Had that GT-R not split in to two pieces, I reckon they'd have died on impact.
  16. Bump. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1000118983
  17. This thing is truly a weapon. Would not recommend eating lunch just before going in it with James around Hampton.
  18. Few pics from an awesome evening. Will definitely be heading back to get some more laps under my belt.
  19. Speed is always a factor in a collision. It's the oxygen thieves out there who make other foolish decisions which ultimately cost lives. Subsidized mandatory driver education is required imo.
