  1. Looks like NZ post deem a car airbag as a dangerous item..which is fair enough. Any one know of any other shipping companies which would handle a steering wheel complete with airbag?
  2. These may be of interest... adjustable rear control arms... or give you some inspiration to make some. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39-m5-e52-z8-discussion/431490-finally-custom-rear-control-arms-e39.html
  3. I spy an e39 rear subframe used in your amazing build. Can't wait to see more progress pics.
  4. looked like it has an aftermarket suspension setup the way it gets around those corners, or maybe the M4 suspension is just that stiff in it's 'race track' setting? Squealing brakes and good grip suggest it's also had those areas addressed too. All in all a great clip though!
  5. The day has come.
  6. The M5 maf housings are slightly smaller than the 540i ones. The actual M5 MAF sensor itself I think fits in the 540i maf housing though. I've got a good working one for an E39 540i in my garage i think - i'll check and come back to you.

  8. An e39 m5 touring to complement?
  9. I ended up watching all his engine building clips on youtube - He goes through the fundamentals pretty well. Pitty it's dinosaur technology though.
  10. SCA usually knock $20 off the 10w60sn flavour. Cheapest i've bought it was from repco @ $75. Note this is not the 'official' oil but it's damn close - Tom obtained the specs for it in a thread I started comparing it to tws.
  11. Now on TM along with a mint 4:3 board monitor if anyones after one.
  12. With that much mileage under it's belt it's probably had the annoying engine problems sorted... although they're probably due to start over again.
  13. Offers considered. Will be putting on TM later this week.
  14. Plenty of evidence the oil services have been religiously done. Very clean in there.
  15. Its the nav unit running the monitor.. Quick dirty hack until i can secure a mk4.
  16. You know, the rear shelf alcantara trim is a little sun faded... ;-) ;-)
  17. Looks like it has genuine e39 wheels too. I'm sure it won't be without it's problems at that price though.
  18. I've also got the full alcantara head lining and rear shelf. IMO much more suited to your CSL Tom.
