I can actually compared Gull 98 vs Waitomo 95. Will take a look later. I can move our fuel discussions somewhere else too.

You can see by the colors in my little app there. 9.8 is at the high end for me. Usually sits around low 9's. Ignore my average though. I messed up a few fills. It's good to compare some fuel usage between drivers with a similar driving style for once haha. Just checked. Best ever was 7.51 L/100kms. On Gull 98. All open road KM's going from Mtown to Auckland. Mrs must have been asleep.

Not to alarm you. But a friend with a similar A5 just had to replace both window actuators and the controllers for the windows. And whatever controller the headlights are controlled by. He is not very car handy himself so had the work done. $3100 inc labour + parts which apparently is cheap. Regs and controllers were over $500 each and comes as a kit. As if Audi knows they are crap. The workshop told him this is very common.

What sort of driving are you doing? That is 1-2 L/100km more than my stock auto that I drive pretty hard. Mostly open road and windy hills for me. I'm just curious. Strangely I am more interested in economy than power in this car. Are there any gains to be made without effecting economy too heavily? Yes it's got a name. It has brown interior. The Mrs named it.

Side on non touched up photos of the M3 look bad. The front looks tacked on. The rear door / arch "Dent" look shite. The only time they look good is when they are shown in heavily touched up photos where much of the lines are hidden in shadow or when the cars have a color that hides lines like that Primer Grey. Was anyone else confused as hell watching the official release demo video? The one with the young weird people doing weird stuff like cutting a metal fence with a chainsaw.... Managed to leave my drivers window down in the E87 all night in an uncovered and unsecure CBD parking space in Wellington last night during the Weather "Bomb" But as the media blew this "Bomb" out of proportion and it was a beautiful crystal clear night and still is a beautiful day so far, I had no issues. Also flew into Wellington yesterday with constant scare mongering telling us we probably can't land and will be turned back. Landed first shot. No bumpier than normal. So this is not a rant about leaving my window down. But one about the media once again gagging for a story and scare mongering.

Is that factory or has someone flogged the motor? Am interested if it can be complied. Pretty certain it can't be.

No, it was a rough looking E87. I have seen you car before but I didn't notice the rear lights. Maybe it is the extras on your car that make it work.

There is near nothing to see on that route. But it is quicker than SH2.

I think it is my bias towards the East Coast. East>West. I very rarely enjoy driving any of the routes we have suggested to be honest. Maybe 2-3 in 10 drives you will get minimal traffic, no road works, good weather and the Pie cabinet at the gas station will have the pie you want. At least they have good fuel all the way through now. Remember the days when you could only get 98 octane in Auckland, Taupo and then stretch it out to Upper Hutt.

At best that's a 9hr trip. Without stopping. And then you actually have nowhere to stop anyway.

I can't recommend one place to stop along SH1. So you would make good time.

On the weekend you might be able to find some. But usually everything is paid or taken up by residents around there. And they patrol it. Also just went over the Paihiatua Track on Saturday. The road is stuffed and not worth going over. I took the Saddle road back and it was far better.

Oh it makes sense now. I was following a white E87 the other day with these. I just thought it was a good tint spray tbh. It looks good on black but didn't look that great on white.
