Best BMW tow car I had was my E60 530D. With a heavy Hirepool trailer and a full weight E30, the E60 barely noticed it. 10.5L/100km from Wellington to Auckland. The best tow car I had was my fathers Merc E55 AMG. It actually didn't care there was something attached to it. I did stupid things like destroying an SS Holden racing onto the motorway with my E30 series car being towed along. But 27L/100kms haha.

117 I think. It's only doing about 36km a day at the moment. Soon to be about 90 a day though. Sam takes it to the train station at the moment. Keeping an eye on suspension now. Though it is still tight and quiet. Upgrade at some stage.

Check on the 3 series tow rating. Pretty sure it would be over the limit. 5 series or X5 if you want a BMW tow vehicle. Get the official tow kit which is vastly superior to any NZ aftermarket kit I have seen. Expect bushes to have a short life. Get self leveling suspension if available.

Saw this on Reddit. This guy's description was dead on. First off, fantastic color choice. Thank you for the pictures. Enough has been said about the face. That said this makes the rear door problem really apparent. It's just so lazy that they didn't more smoothly blend the rear wheel arch with the rear door. And I didn't know the "prolapsed anus" rear bumper came on the M3 too, thought it was just the M4...I'll bet it drives really nice though! At least you can't see the outside when you're sitting in it!

Just at the stage where I need new tyres for the 130. They have worn so well. Even after I murdered them at the track.

Ah. I will keep an eye on the US Facebook groups if you like. They were quite common a few years back while I was there. However they are incredibly popular now. Even being put behind LS1's and Volvo motors.

DomiWorks Engineering. They have adapters for all BMW DCT boxes. Even to weird stuff like K24 Honda to BMW DCT.

I was just told to get an independent valuation. Google searched the nearest crystal ball reader. This was WBS (Wairarapa Building Society)

I just got pre approval for the maximum amount before I started looking. All of the traditional Banks such as ASB, ANZ, and even Kiwibank had no interest in helping me build. Especially because I purchased the land first and didn't have some inflated turn key package from their mates at Jennian. I went to my local Building Society who were very keen to finance me. Not the lowest of the low rates. But it was this or a straight No for what I wanted to do.

Is it just me or does it sound like a V6? Go to around the 3:30 mark. Listen. Not a smooth L6 sound at all.

It is just for bare land. However they valued it at around what I paid for it 1 and a bit years ago. Everything around us has increased around 50% in that year. It's ridiculous. I am just going to plan that they will significantly increase it at some stage.

I like the M3 more. Bar where the rear doors meet the body. Looks like an afterthought.

It's not even the Kidneys that bother me. It's the bulbus, plain ass end and Mustang roofline of the M4. Yuck.

Cheers. I guess I will leave it. No interest in selling at the moment as I am building. Bank actually had me get a private valuation. Which is actually pretty realistic.

Does anyone have any knowledge around this? My property was just given it's first valuation. And it is a laughable amount. Around half of what it should be even by their standards. All the details are correct. They just have no idea what land is going for at the moment. It means my rates are low. But will this bite me in the ass in any way when they realize their mistake? Or should I just ignore it as it is up to them to determine how much I should be paying.

Wow didn't know we were getting any Wayne Rooney Editions in NZ.

Something different today - anyone recognise this car
Driftit replied to promo's topic in General Discussion
Yeah many years ago it was a contender in the BMW Race series. Good to see it is still about. -
It's also just a C35 Laurel base I think.

Yeah I still pay for Motortrend and just use my US CC and a VPN. I watched the first episode but didn't get too pulled into it. I did find it weird that they would have an Englishman on Top Gear America.

$14k....................

I like that power built jack though. Well priced and all my power built stuff is still going. Don't think I have broken any of it in a good 20+ years. My Wayco is too short for 4wds. And too tall for anything else. But I just lined up one of these. Sick of rolling around on the floor and saves putting another bay on the garage for parking space. Somehow I feel the E34 will live on it. https://www.automaster.co.nz/products/peak-p-408p

2 of my cars that were singapore and 1 that was a HK import met the stereotypes. All were terrible vehicles. E36, E39 and a E38. I will always advise to stay away from them.
