Best bet would be to ask the US forums. I have never seen that color here. And we didn't get ZHP's.
-
Not even close here in Masterton and over in Wellington. Closest was $100 more and he said that was at their cost so they weren't keen. Couldn't find anyone willing to match. Happy to offer me a worse brand to match the price though.. That was on some 4wd tyres a few months back. I was calling around because I needed them same day. In my experience even if the sale is bullshit at Hyper the price is still better. They also would often match the Toyo wholesale price for R888's for me which was good.

I'll grab one of those maxtondesign ones too if you guys do. Looks good. Wonder how it will look on a white car.

Hyper Drive has a pretty good deal on right now. https://www.hyperdrive.co.nz/products/landing/227/tyres Worth a look if you are nearly at new Tyres time. Last set we got shipped down for free and fitted locally.

Love that color. That is a 330i ZHP. Late model nearly every option E46. They are hugely popular. And do come with some great options. Check the colors they were available in. Unrelated but wow does that street look familiar. That has to be the PA or Tennessee area. I am sure I have been there for a cars and coffee meet. Possible: Sparkling Graphite Metallic

As long as they keep building great motors we can rip out and throw in our old Bimmers.
-
Oh I know. Conforming to boring. I'ts now the car your Nanna buys. I expect to see many Green/Cream color combos with zero tech options.
-
But it's just another FWD hatch. There is plenty already.
-
Easily I think. However some people have 2 or 3 so we would need extra drivers.

The Wairarapa is far nicer than SH1. SH1 is now a half finished heavily patrolled highway. The Wind farm on the hill before you hit Palmy is a great look out point. And from the top of vinegar hill you can see Ruapehu and Taranaki on a clear day. Its about the scenery out this way. SH2 can provide some great views of the Tararuas (Mountain Range splitting East and West Coast). Snow on them at the moment. I always turn off at Turangi and take 31 then 42 through to Tokoroa. It's usually deserted and surrounded by pine forests. Also a dam to take a look at. Then turn off at Tirau and head through to Matamata.

Why am I even posting this. Maybe you're bored. Read about the new fugly Ti. https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/bmw/128ti-5dr-step-auto/first-drive

Are these the new E30's? Bimmersport was once chock full of E30's. Now they all gather dust in sheds. I think a 130i meet could be a laugh.

Wellington - SH2 through to Woodville, over the Saddle to Palmy. Back roads through Vinegar Hill to SH1. Up to Waiuru. Then you have two options. Ohakune or Taupo. If you wanted to detour up the mountain I would go Ohakune. The rest of the way to Auckland isn't too interesting to me. Avoiding SH1 as much as possible bar between Waiuru and Taupo is recommended.

Ah yeah. We are on a farm and have a number of gates and have to get out often. If I go too fast it comes on. I heard it in a movie the other day. Instantly triggered.
-
Yeah it is one of my favorites now. I will pick up a 135i for fun times soon. Hoping I can find the same combo.

Another one. Best value for money Bimmer's at the moment. I have had this for just over a year now. I purchased it sight unseen from @GorGasm on the forum. Knowing how well he looks after his cars it was an easy decision. Was in the US and needed a car when I got back. It has just clocked 108,000kms. It's all standard bar the replacement coil packs and some wheels (forgot the style). And that is the way it will mostly stay. It is our worry free commuter. I have a replacement stereo sitting in the US that I will bring over at some stage. Soon it will be doing daily duty over the Remutaka Hill and back most days. So tires, suspension, brakes will all be carefully maintained. But it really is a great car for the hill. I need to find a brake pad and rotor combo that is cost effective for hill duties. Suggestions welcome. I'm not heavy on the brakes but you do use them more than any normal commute. It does have quite a unique color combo though. It has Terracotta leather. Sadly it doesn't get washed much at the moment. Live on a farm up a gravel drive in the middle of nowhere on tank water. And it will soon be bug season. Anyway this is just a log of yet another E87.

Oh that reverse gong... Drives me mad. I have programmed it out a number of times only for it to turn itself back on.
-
Nice. They are a great commuter/bang for buck bimmer. I enjoy my worry free driving in mine.

Awesome thanks James. @M3AN

Highlighting this thread up for visibility. @Jamez I think you have helped in the other thread to answer how the site is currently hosted and what is being done to sort out the downtime that occurred. Are you able to provide some figures for traffic etc?
-
Ah dead link already. Wish trademe would not do that.
-
Feel free to contact Andrew about it. James Watson is hosting the site at the moment. But maybe someone more active would like to take over doing so. I am not sure what their agreement is. TBH the alternative for me would be to no longer participate in the community if the forum were to stop. You could not pay me to use Facebook or other social media platforms. So if you have time and the ability it would be much appreciated.

Heat exchanger failing? First I have ever heard of that on a BMW. -
Ah you see I hated the FWD Starlets and was never a fan of MR2's. I also still have a S13 which these days is a whole lot of meh and money. Now if they made a newer KP60 and ditched the Yaris name and went back to Starlet I would be on board. But that's a nope to the Sporty Econo Box at 2nd hand M3/4 prices. I dumped Toyota when they murdered the Soarer.
