I wonder if it is because the majority of BMW's on the road here are imports? Trying to convince someone out of a poorly maintained import and into an expensive new BMW could be hard work.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

Yeah that's my old one. Actually my photos. It has resold a few times since then I think. Last time for closer to $20K maybe a year or two ago. -

I'm not sure about that Jon. My Series car which was a 320i Auto 4 door also had the Mtech 1 kit. And a friend had a 4 door 1990 320i with the Mtech2 kit. Was Auto too. -
Nice one. I look forward to pulling my 535is out of storage towards the end of the year. Have you checked the basics for the misfire? These motors are pretty simple. Start with the ignition system. Check the plugs, leads, coil and cap. Number one source of misfires. Check for cracks in the intake pipes after the Airflow meter. Make sure all vacuum hoses are connected and not cracked or split. Then check the Air Flow meter itself. It's an old trapdoor design. You may need to youtube/google on how to check them over. Be very careful not to change anything in them without instruction. Also don't get sucked into the expensive Iridium spark plugs. Get some standard copper ones. They are dirt cheap and last around 30,000kms. The plugs are so easy to change on a M30. I was buying them in bulk boxes and changing them for every race meet.

I guess their failures keep our great indi's operating.

Better looking IMO. Steel bumpers. Less bulky plastic looking. Better spoiler. Looks far different than the non M models. Does the Tech 2 come with Houndstooth interior? If not then that too. -

The best version. To think you could have purchased my one for $10K in 2016? I really wish I still had it. Not because it was a great car. But so i could sell it and buy something much nicer. -
This is from one of my local BMW dealers in the US. They completed the recalls on my E46 while I was there. Awesome service. Treated me like a future sale. Unlike NZ where you may as well be spat on if you turn up in your E87. The dealerships are fighting for customers over there though. There were two major dealerships only about an hour from each other. A message from BMW of Silver Spring. What a laugh. Good luck to all the sellers. May you find a cashed up cars and coffee regular. -
I might buy one at that money. Still just a fat 135i to me
-
Hmm. No thanks. Could have saved nearly 50K and purchased @GorGasm's E60 M5.
-
Nice. I wonder if it has had it's engine and box rebuilt? That's a good $10K.

Host it yourself. Do you know much about Dockers? https://github.com/discourse/discourse_docker Dockers

Doesn't discord host your server? It's free unless you want premium features.

It might be more common in the US. But none existent in NZ. But even in the US most first owners are leases. 3 - 4 years max.

Better review than those above. Cheers.

You may need to give them a call for a quote. Everything has changed thanks to Covid. Try to buy from the Western states as getting something out via LA will be far cheaper than Baltimore at the moment.
-
Actually the best places to watch are Facebook groups for E46's. But Ebay is the safest option. Just use a freight forwarder like Kiwishipping. And pay via paypal for safety. E46's in the US are very cheap unless it is a ZHP. And there are lots of Manuals.
-
You can bring in a manual conversion from the US for not much. Pretty common there.

List of lackluster cars purchased by those wearing nostalgia goggles. They were good....because they were cheap. Excluding the Monaro. Not cheap or good imo. Poke poke -
Hmm those coms faults. That means ISTA was not able to talk to those modules. So you don't know if they have their own issues. You would be best to ask @promo if any of these are majors. Have the cats been removed?

Dump some weight out of them and they honestly feel the same. Having moved from an E30 Series car to an E34 535. I think my E34 was just over 1200kg's last on the scales. My Series car was whatever the series weight was. Jon might remember. 1175kg's with me in it? The extra size takes a bit to get used to though. And the steering is very light and needs to be underdriven.
