So I had leant my car to my brother in law for a couple of weeks. While he was driving it he got a warning that a headlight was out. He checked and it was indeed out. He ran around with one headlight for the time. I chucked in some cheap Trademe HID bulbs and I have to admit I never checked the warnings afterwards. However starting it up the next day I get a heap or warnings. A8B3 FRM: Direction indicator, rear right, faulty frm_70 A8C0 FRM: Rear fog light/adaptive brake light, right, faulty frm_70 A8B0 FRM: Direction indicator, front left, faulty frm_70 Checked the lights and none of the them are out. Cleared the codes from the FRM but they returned at next ignition on. Pulled the rear right bulbs out and they seem fine. They are however the original Osram bulbs. Have my cheap HID's caused an issue? Or is my FRM being a dick? Or maybe the bulbs are all just ready to be replaced?

Can I just quote myself here. Also let me know when you are selling the 535 @GorGasm. I will try convince the wife.

You can also make one. Few guides out there. But I would say it is a vacuum leak too. The CCV may have failed. https://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/BMW-3-Series-E90/ENGINE-Crankcase_Breather_Valve_Replacement/ENGINE-Crankcase_Breather_Valve_Replacement.htm

MCM E30 did they choose the right engine?

The whole time I didn't realise they were being paid to build it for advertising a game. All makes sense now. Was a low effort speedy build for an advertiser. -
I still have a US address that matches my US credit card. Otherwise I would be in the same boat. This is only temp though.

Freight forwarding for me. Via my old role in DC. But it stops early December so I need to be quick. And I can only get smaller items. Not monitors etc.
-
Yup every year multiples of muppets line up for hours thinking they are going to save hundreds on the latest gear. Only to find the only good deal was the two refurbished monitors that were purchased by staff before the sale and the ton of no name brand usb sticks you will never use. I'll stick to Amazon and Newegg. I haven't been asked to pay GST yet.

Could spend $25K tidying up this one instead. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/540i/listing/2853679073?bof=SGStNtFV

Very true. Discussing PC parts. Apple people show up to inform us we're wrong. Nearly as bad as people with Air Fryers.

Ah the purity hunters. 1 guy says they ruined it = THE INTERNET IS AWASH WITH PURISTS HATING ON THE SWAP!!!. People swapping engines love to attract hate. Even when it isn't there most of the time... Actually from reading their comments section many are just disappointed that it is another LS swap. Not that it is a swap. -
Coming from an environment where I had to support Macbooks and HP Elitebooks all day every day. I would take the Elitebook every time if I was made to choose. They both failed as often as each other but HP had an amazing hardware team. Apple had nobody. And their helpdesk is run by Concentrix who are next to useless. Plus the HP was a far better looking device. I have a 2008 Dell laptop that is still running well. Even with Win 10 20H2. It's primary job is talking to the Bimmers. All I have done to it is buy a bigger battery and an SSD.

The most common engine swap in the world Easiest option outside of putting in another M20. -
Yeah it was. Just a few days ago. Up around 20K since then. Yup would much rather have an M2. This poor thing looks like it will spend it's life in a garage.

Someone throw up some screenshots. I try to avoid FB groups. -
Looks ok. Met reserve. Currently just under $10k. But I bet it will get silly towards the end. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2845720085?tm=email&et=45&mt=79F4475F-6C8D-4859-8EC2-79132A4FA124&bof=y9PaWdCs

These would have been going on my race car. I would not have trusted a repair job. I was going to replace the barrel. I would say these wheels are the spares/damaged wheels from a race car. Hence their poor condition. BBS tax collection has taken place on this auction.
-
@leichtbau They sold for $1100... And I only realized this morning when I went to place a bid that two of the wheels are missing their bolts.
-
Nice another one. Mines an IS. But a UK import and now a race car.

2004 E46 330d M-Sport Touring 6-Speed Manual
Driftit replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in For Sale
Ah dammit. I would have purchased it if I had seen it. Good it stayed within Bimmersport though. -
That's weird. @james
-
They have to be ripping BMW off. Doubling up on what they can bill for.
-
Anyway the 3070's are now available via PB Tech. And with traditional inflated NZ prices. Those waiting on 3080's could be waiting until after xmas.
-
I'm still waiting for a part to arrive for my recall. A part that you can buy from ANY BMW parts website around the world. I can't wait to be mucked around by BMW Wellington again. I think it has been around 4 or so months now. Bet they charged BMW for it though.
-
That whole website is a joke. The prices are ridiculous.
