  1. Have done the sunroof drains, but will check around the spoiler. Parked on the flat, looks like everything has survived after being dried out overnight, some of the modules looked like they had been wet before!!
  2. All dried out and back together, seems to be fine, fingers crossed! I will remove the other plasic plug and clean the well properly then give it a coat of cavity wax before I put everything back in. Now I just have to track down where the water is getting in......
  3. Not sure, I am drying out the modules then will refit and see what works!
  4. My best in the 318 is 7.3, but I give it more jandal than miss M will. Sounds about right for lots of open road runs.
  5. It doesnt appear to make any difference.
  6. After the weather bomb filled the boot of the wagon with water and seems to have killed 2 modules, I might have to install a bilge pump!! In the meantime I have knocked out the plastic caps that have no ability to let water drain out! Nice one BMW.
  7. Also a front runner for coolest rubbish truck?
  8. But the price is going to double in the next year, you would be crazy not to buy it!
  9. Not much of a description, but I suppose you either know what it is or you arent going to buy it. Pity about the crappy aftermarket towbar.
  10. Scott at Fraser cars also does certifying.
  11. So, an e36 318is touring car, yes please!
  12. So by this line of thinking a 1 litre engine making 150 hp at 10, 000 rpm is considered a performance engine , but a 2 litre engine making 150 hp at 5000 rpm is not? All of the factors need to be considered for a reasonable benchmark to be set.
  13. 100Hp/ litre seems about right to me, but a performance engine alone is useless, 500 hp in my 1900 Kg M5 gives good performance, 215 hp in a 650Kg Fraser clubman also gives excellent performance , but a 215 Hp 2 litre Iitre in my M5 would be rubbish! 500 hp in a 650kg Fraser on the other hand.....
  14. No, sorry, I dont think getting the fluid level right will fix the problem, I do think it will be impossible to diagnose properly if the fluid level is wrong. It is possible to do it without a hoist, but I did that and still couldn't get it 100%, and its probably the cheapest thing to get done at this stage. Also, if you havent rechecked it after a drive you may not have the correct procedure because im pretty sure thats the last step, but a professional who does this for a living will know it inside out. I also accepted the fact that I was just buying time until a much bigger bill as mine had 280+ Km on it!
  15. I used the genuine esso oil, was about $20 / litre, from a BMW specialist, but if what you have meets the spec it should work, I would start with getting the level right, there is a procedure and it really needs to be on a hoist to do it properly, I would take it to someone who has done a few.
  16. Did you get the exact right fluid level in the gearbox after the change? These autos are very sensitive to their fluid level, after I changed mine I took it to my mechanic to put it up on the hoist and fill it according to the proper procedure, I drove it about half a Km to the mechanic and it drove like a bag of broken ar5eh0les on the way there and was mint on the way back! Also using the proper fluid is critical. Changing the fluid properly bought me about a year in mine and then it was manual conversion time!!
  17. E39 m5 replicas, 17 inch, e39 offset and centre bore size. Powdercoated in " coal dust" , need new centre caps. 2 have pirelli p1s, 2 have pirelli p7s, decent tread, all same size. After $400 ono.
  18. A 320d would probably be better than a 320i! Go for the 323i

Can anyone tell me if Atacama yellow is metallic or solid? TIA.
  22. Wired up the trailer plug on the M5, just have to rewire the trailer now to have seperate left/right tail light circuits, then put a 50mm coupling on my trailer.
