Auckland is a sh*t hole anyway, why not have a super shithole I say. Papakura needs lots of things fixed so im hoping the rest of Auckland’s rates will help us out.

A general bitch about the integrity of my panel beater.
Apex replied to Andre3000's topic in General Discussion
Yep, you generally do, but if insurance is paying you expect a top job. All I can recommend is taking it to a top panel beater when claiming, you are entitled to use whichever you want. Mum had her car reversed into and before claiming she took it to BMW who recommended Evans for the repair, they quoted over $8,000 for a job a average shop would charge $2,000. The insurance company had to approve it as that was her requested repairer. I can recommend someone out south if anyone ever wants anything repaired to a invisible standard. He knows how to charge and has a two moth waiting list but does a truly fantastic job. -
He must be gutted

That a mean trampoline on the roof, must be a rare option.

Haha. Nice one. Sounds interesting though, is there a link to this product on Bimmersport so we can all take advantage of this great product?
-
Is it a polish or a wax? Did you apply it with a microfiber cloth?
-
Anything is possible, no way would it be direct bolt on but im sure you could make a E46 sedan front fit. Wouldn’t be cheap.

If you were an enthusiast looking for a bit of a project and had some contacts it’s a good buy IMO. First thing I would be doing is sticking it on a Dyno to see how safe it is running, then tidying up the system. Most second hand E46’s would require a bit of refreshing by now anyhow, this one gives the excuse to go the whole hog and respray it any colour you may want! Bonus.
-
X2 on the sig. I think it’s a just a factory option, like an M-tech before the E46 went M-Tech

Looking good, the lip needed to be there!! I would say no to eyelids and yes to clear lights… Although orange indicators are FTW.

Good stuff, the Compact looks good in M-Sport guise, most BMW variations other than the norm get a roasting round here, thought I’d get in first.. no offence Bet the fuel savings and higher quality over the Territory are refreshing. Welcome once again, im sure you will find a wealth of knowledge around here, our resident mechanical geniuses and all round nice guy Glenn has a compact also.

Welcome to Bimmersport. What does your husband drive?

Im beached as bro, have you got a hock?

Cooler than an E30, how is that even possible Lots of us do have much newer faster head turners but they are not our pride and joy... check thread title. Im glad so many of you have spent as much as you do, its helping me justify my own spending Wouldn’t dare start adding mine up, wouldn’t be as high as some of you though.
-
Easy answer is no. You already have an old BMW that costs to much to maintain, why would you want another??
-
Lol at style 38. I remember the dealer trying to sell my olds those as some kind of an upgrade when they got there E39, they didn’t even look remotely cool in the mid nineties when new! If it weren’t for me saying hell no they may well have gone ahead with them!!

The fact you managed to spin it out a while back still amazes me, maybe its been a underlying problem. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....674&hl=spin When im driving late model BMW’s they always have that light showing

Welcome to Bimmersport. Like that colour on a E34, suits the car.
-
Thanks team. Will get a valuation done by a car dealer and try and contact someone at BMW or the BMW car club and go from there. If all fails I will switch insurance companies, im currently with state and they have been really good to us over the years… could be because we have 12 policies with them. I know it’s no Porsche but it’s nice to know you would get a decent amount back if anything was to happen, if they were only going to pay the market value of a 320i I might as well third party it because come claim time they wouldn’t do sh*t, the Tech-II front new would cost near the price of a 320i. Must be a killer worry for you E30 M3 boys.

e34 leather recaro sport seats , need to go this week
Apex replied to BM WORLD's topic in TradeMe discussions
Cannot believe no one has taken this!! I would so have brought it on day one if I had a E34. So cool. -
Ah, ok well that’s a different story then, I just assumed they would be the same gearbox and engine.
-
Cheers Brian, much appreciated.

I found the five speed manual was a lot better to drive than the auto, especially when going off road or towing. The Auto’s in the 3.0ltr TDI surfs are complete cuck, when towing the auto would get very hot very quick and often overheat plus the manual overdrive was frustrating on long tow trips.

What’s the allowed millage on Classic? I do about 5,000k a year. 12k may be pushing it if I wanted to sell but its replacement cost im trying to cover, I wouldn’t even be able to replace or replicate it for 12k. As for market value, try and find a E30 Touring for sale to base it off? There is no market value for them, they have simply valued it off the cost of a 320i and if my car got stolen I would be paid out 4k tops.

Yep. Gives nice acceleration due to the ratios..
