If it hasnt been registered weird stuff can happen, as it predicts the batteries performance. Could 100% be causing the fault, ive even seen a fire apparently caused by not registering a battery(!!) Most of the OBD2 apps can do it, must be someone in Welly you can hit up. Failing that a BMW independent workshop will be able to do it in about 2 minutes.

Rough value for insurance and my own knowledge.

If you want to do agreed value insurance, you'll need someone like a LMVT dealer to value it. -
Protools is awesome.
-
Get it scanned is the only real way to see whats up

The new Alfa... take note BMW, new cars do not have to look like pokemon robots that just got slapped in the face with a waffle iron.
-
Another wang option, going cheap on faceballs, which is surprising as its quite tasteful.
-
yup, but Im running the SMF which likes to have gear chatter with thinner oil.
-
Penrite Progear 75w90, shes a bit thicc on a cold morning but once up to temp is awesome sauce.

Can you get M5 rotors cheaper than this? - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/123588455233
-
Apparently you can trim pads down to fit or something similar? I considered it then found the brembo rotors for cheap. Finding 135 pads is piss easy, in any flavour you want.

Evo 6 tarted up with AD08RS, coil overs, front mount Vs 130 with a cheapy LSD, koni stock shocks, eibach springs and sway bars (and much better driver)

34216780217 & 34216780218 - Right and Left Rear rotors were the hardest bits to find at sane prices, since AFAIK they only fit 130s with the BBK. I got the fancy pants brembo ones off german ebay for like $300NZD
-
Yeah new ones, came pre trimmed. Ill look up p/n later, think was FCPeuro, will be from realoem.com though. HEL lines here too, they came from the UK via amazon, the NZ sourced ones at the time were all funky colours
-
Yup, changed the fronts too, apparently you can bash em into fitting, but for a couple of bucks I just bought the right ones. Be aware, the ass end ones require disassembling the wheel bearing to replace... but a bit of work with an angle grinder to cut a slot solves that issue.

You forgot key part of lesson, dont buy 4 pot bmws

BMW really have perfected their warranty period

Played around with Protools expert mode coding to try get the car to track oil changes at good intervals rather than stock BMW cruelty. Oil Service interval [length=2? distance_km=data_high(256,time_weeks=datalow : distance_km=data(256] is the argument in Protools - But with a bit of playing - Wert_03 3030 = 14000km Wert_04 1818 = 7000km Not to sure how the time period works, but its given me 9 months with 1818 value.. So I call that success. Resetting the oil service, and it stays stuck at 7000km intervals.

Two batteries installed and coded, and 13 litres of HPR5 dumped in. What I have noticed in moving from Castol 5W30 LL01 to Penrite HPR5W40+10 is that oil consumption seems to be reduced a lot, dumping a litre into the 330 and 500ml into the 130 in a 7000km oil change cycle used to be normal.. and I havent had to top up between the last 3 oil changes. Found the 330 is dribbling from the oilcooler gasket, at near identical km to when the 130 did it, so new gaskets, belts, idlers ordered.. ..

Yeah, agreed, but its all about the street cred... and no spoiler on the back just makes the end of an E87 look like the ass of a dog with a docked tail.
-
I might grab one in the future, Ill add it to my list of not atrocious e87 spoilers. I wonder if any of these stop the insane amount crap that gets sucked onto the hatch
-
That replaces the aero spoiler, the tail gates are the same on all E87s. Aerospoiler is just double sided taped to the existing top of the hatch
-
Thats the best E87 spoiler around I rekon, along with the factory aero option. Just the price is silly.. There are heaps of chinese carbon ones available on Aliexpress etc, mostly ripoff of the ACS version.
-
Now in E91 330 as well, the E87 versions fascia is a better design than E91s.. all the heated seats etc all work through the headunit though which is trick. This is the same basic hardware as my E87 one, but is on android 10. Also sounds 100000% better than the stock business stereo, the stronger built in amp makes a huge difference to the subs output.

Dumped $700 on batteries, both 130 and 330 batteries decided to sh*t emselves in same week... I blame Jacinda.
