have this 96 e36 318ti compact 96 with 303k's but has had a replacement engine a while back , engine and automatic gearbox run very well. nice and smooth a few little dents here and there. has sport seats from motorsport 318ti model sonly cd player , will need some work for a wof like . front shocks one is leaking a little 2 or 3 worn tyres reattach inside mirror to windscreen abs light is on cracks in front headlights. reattach door cards. i dont have the time to sort out. have all the parts that is needed for sale can sell complete otherwise i will most likly part it out looking for around $1200 as it is reg on hold. thanks brent 021433600 in papakura

yes you will need to sort the slide back part as that will jam it up going half way back. its worth soldering the relay as they do play up , might also be faulty contacts on the switch . or a fault in teh switch contacts inside the relay . its probably worth swapping it fro another one to try it. also check the fuse and conection terminals for the fuse etc. have parts if needed

small case 4 bolt diff looks like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-525705860.htm medium case 6 bolt diff looks like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-525416437.htm if it was a 320i it would normally have a small case 3.91 to 4.1 etc std 325i normally use a 3.64 medium case. but there are also variations on this of course. all depends on how many revs you want to be doing at say 100km/h in 5th gear try this http://members.dodo.com.au/~wawawa/revs.htm enter the gearbox type getrag 240 or 260. put wheel/tyre size in . then try some different ratios like 3.25 ,3.46 , 3.46 , 3.73, 3.91 4.1 , 4.45 etc ps. also e30 dont use 8 bolt large case diffs , thats what 5 ,6 , 7 & 8 series normall use V8's v12 ,M5 and big six engines like 3.5l 4L 4.4l 5L etc or e36 e46 M3 3.2L etc they look like this

just listing this for a mate , he is looking for a e28 something like a 535i etc . can have faulty engine , trans , or no engine and trans etc would prefer rust free shell dont mind swapping doors or gaurds etc nz new etc but list what you have he may be interested anyway with live plates prefered thanks brent call me 021433600 papakura or email pics and details to [email protected]

what is fuse 31 labelled for ??

did you check the thermostat?? pull it out put it in some boiling water and see if it opens. you cant adjust the dizzy. did it overheat will driving?? or when sitting still?? air in the coolant system??

isnt your e34 wagon ivory(light silver grey) leather ??

you can get a driveshaft modified , balanced etc for about $300+ i have getrag 240 gearbox with shifter parts from a early e30 320i if you need one.

not too bad , just a dirty farm car. lots of scratches drives ok , front shocks are bouncy. i would replace all the plastic in the cooling system pretty quick. call into my work or home on your way past , have some parts for it if needed 021433600

could be a tied fuel pump , fuel return valve failing , fuel drains back then takes a while for teh fuel pressure to build back up?? what motronic set up is it . if its the early system could be the cold start injector leaking fuel into the manifold and flooding it or a faulty cold start injector timer switch (just unplug it)

old dirty trans fluid , thick when cold so doesn't get around the gearbox properly. blocked trans oil filter??
