    E36 Problem

could be the fuel pump packing up.
  4. my mate use to get about 500-550km with his 318ti 1.9L m44 auto driving from manurewa to pukekohe and since he has converted it to a manual gerabox he gets about 700-750km per tank. do a proper fill up and measure how many km you get on a full tank. then fill again and work out how many litres per 100km . but if you car is not tunned and serviced properly it will use heaps more gas , things like air filter spark plugs. bad PCV valve worn out AFM running on 91 gas faulty sensors vacuum leaks blocked cats . exhaust leaks thermostat jammed open(never heats up or slow to heat up) short trips and flooring it everywhere

  6. i used to own a nz new 99 e39 540i touring ,front floated like a boat and kicked in the rear like a goat. i dont like the way the airbag suspension works. one of the reasons i sold it. e34 is a much nicer more involving ride , as long as you sort all the worn out bits etc
  7. have seen a few bmw's that have been sitting around etc with moisture build up in the oil cap , after given a good long hot drive its all gone. but do get it checked
  8. yes has the trailer module , which was showing me that the right side indicator wasn't working.does yours?? have a new kit if you want one. i have some spare door tweeters if needed yea kids love the sunroof open at the back
  9. yea its not bad , just towed a trailer load of pallet racking and the boot full of patical board shelves etcback from west auckland to my warehouse in papakura and no sagging in the back like i normally get when towing , not a bad idea in that respect. and was nice driving in the sun with the big roof slide back and the premium audio system playing some tunes
  10. got this gearbox with shifter parts looks to be a early m20 type e30 320i 323i or e28 520i etc. i drove the car it was in before removing , went fine , just needed some bushes for the gear selector arms etc no crunching etc. $400ono for the gearbox and shifter parts. also have other parts that may be of use like flywheels , e28 pedals etc. 021433600 papakura
  11. i always make them do it online right there and then before they drive it away. then its done. just have a visa card handy for the $9 transfer fee have had this problem once before with a car i sold a few years back so i just dereged it. gave him plenty of notice before doing it. said plates where wrecked with the car
  12. get your lower arm rear bushes checked also the ball joints. if they are worn they will cause wobbles and shimmy's etc
  13. teh oil pressure sensors have been known to fail . normally they will be leaking oil around the plug. but you should get a oil pressure gauged hooked up to be sure , or try another known or new oil pressure switch
  14. they can fail again if not repaired properly, i have a guy who does it ,he repairs all the joins etc , rather than just the broken ones like some other repair guys do
