yes you can swap the non vanos into a vanos car . most early vanos 325i dont have ews anyway. worst case is you bypass the starter wires that go though the ews box might be able to help with coupe or sedan shell , or a subframe etc etc thanks brent

mayeb trans oil fluid level low or filter block , trans fuild really old.has it ever be serviced or changed etc??

bad battery terminal conections?? trying pushing on them , tightening up etc. long crank times when warm could be cam sensor on its way out. see if it will jump start from another car etc

yup , sold a nice Z3 to a young girl who was just getting rid of her MGF , she said it cost her thousands to keep it going ,lots of cooling system issues etc

nice car . used to be owned by a mate of mine, (he wishes he hadn't sold it) about 1.5 to 2years back. we fitted the m-sport front bumper , rear boot lid spoiler and the armrest cupholder setup. that car was ordered new by rod millan i think way back when it was new in that spec. yes agree need the m-sport side door moldings. have some if you need. cheers brent

also if you unplug the vac hose going to the fuel pressure reg and block it up. that will increase fueling a bit , might make it a bit more driveable (and safe) until you get the ecu remaped etc

my one wouldn't run right untill i had it remapped , the std millar maf tune was way off .

electronic controlled trans . like above one with a sports/ecno/manual switch in the console.

on a hoist , left engine off the mounts. unbolt everything and remove it, swap it for a lower millage spare one. refit and enjoy also check the wear in the steering knuckle , have seen a fe wof these wear out and go all floppy . also play in the trackrod joints

just swapped ouy the steering box in my e34 544i , (had play in the output shaft of the steering box) also did the ali control arms, what a difference now. no more shakes at 80-90km , steering feels more direct etc. in for a wheel alignment tomorrow to just finish it off. probably up for sale soon to make way for the e34 544i 6spd touring work wagon
