Need to get some chrome badges for the rear imo, black badges are meh on a car like this.

I like the choice of silver wings for the plates on your car. looks super clean to me
-
Update: front tyres are rubbing on bumps might need to replace them for a size smaller 215/40/18 or find some 1 series offset wheels.. haha or maybe some new shocks might help the bouncing over bumps and it wont scrape.. hmmm

https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-3380614376.htm Low kms 325i coupe for 20k

Yea 255/35 is the “correct” size for the wheels but due to the lower offset as they were off a 3 series it would never work on a 1 series i think. also 235 width tyres on the style 269 front is too wide as the rims are only 7.5” so 225 is the right choice

If anyone is wondering about "aggressive-ish" fitment on the 1 series: Just put on a set of staggered style 193's from a E9X 3 series on the E83 130i with brand new tyres (Laufenn LK03) 18x8" ET34 with 225/40 front 18x8.5" ET37 with 235/40 rear Nice flush fitment and no rubbing on standard msport suspension

Im sure you will sort it out in due time

Looks very good for just under 400kms! Would never have guessed.

Seems like the M235is have held the value better than the M135i so I would say it doesn’t matter too much. The cons of the higher mileage one is bigger potential for new parts meaning more $ overall. The cons of the higher priced one is a potentially bigger loss. Either way, the people in the market for a M235i is very slim, even more so than the M135i so its tough either way. Comparatively I think the M135i’s have bottomed out in price already and might even trend upwards in coming years but I may be biased as I own one

that is a very tidy e46m

F20 116i or 120i ? post by a Bimmersport Noob
qube replied to Choo's topic in New Member Introductions
It is true, you can remap the 116 to 120 levels but in doing so you probably need to upgrade the intercooler at least to properly cool down the car due to the power gain. After you factor in the costs of the tune and some parts upgrades, its probably worthwhile to just get a 120i in the spec you want if you can find it for a reasonable price. (have owned a couple of F20 116i and currently have an F20 M135i) a 125i is a nice step up if you can find one but not if its way more expensive. The merit of these 116/118/120 is the price point being around 10-14k. -
I actually spotted a grey Ferarri FF yesterday with the plate "46"

Surprised at the lack of love for the e9x 325/330/335! I guess it goes to show how compelling the other options are at this price point

What would be your pick for the best BMW around $10k price range? Pick a selection and comment the exact model and why!

Wow that’s a great find!!

If the rego was KYS… then could be the one I sold to someone down in porirua. le mans blue 130 manual with 135 wheels

Oh that is so awesome. I thought it was great as DCT but now even more fun!

Great car and deal, I would buy if it was in Auckland just to have it as a spare car..

this is correct. if you want to just get the same plate/style remade you go thru licensys and it costs next to nothing. If you want it restyled/diff combo then kiwiplates and it costs a lot.
