  1. Hopefully to get it back on the road, if I can work out who it is. Kind of an identity crisis due to being de-regd so long and sold multiple times, and too old for a VIN #
  2. Going for a cruise out to Taranaki on a nice sunny day. Bringing back a new toy! Not sure which was better?
  3. So I roadtripped to Mokau today in the trusty (surprisingly) Range Rover, to pick up a new steed. Enter a 1962ish Landrover Series 2a SWB ute. The rangerover certainly looked the part towing its dad around! Now I'm going to be busy with a grinder and a welder for some time.
  4. Managed to squeeze anything out of the douche canoes yet? ?
  5. HOSTGE just followed my little compact into Exeter crescent in Palmy. Looking good even after I had passed you pulled over with bonnet and boot up just moments before!
  6. Sweet, just flick me a PM when you're all sorted.
  7. So I've bought myself a new project (Landrover S2a SWB) and it's in Mokau. I was going to borrow a trailer this weekend but turns out its booked out. Does anybody in the Manawatu have a car transporter trailer they are willing to let me borrow this weekend?? Willing to pay in beers, a box of your favourite! Desperate to get my new toy home haha, alternative is to take a days leave and get it next week but I'm impatient!
  8. On the weekend I'll make a new thread in other European cars
  9. Winning auctions at the last minute, and below your max. Oh and LandRovers. The joy is in the challenge. Pick up my new S2a SWB this weekend
  10. No huge hurry, next weekend is fine. Have also put it on Facebook though. As far as I know for a 6 cylinder you just use your cars rear driveshaft, this front driveshaft, and shorten the shifter linkage but someone may be able to confirm? I'm not 100% on that as I was going to use it in another Ti.

    is this real

It's on the Internet, it must be true.

Nope, and it actually even applies to washing houses, or anything else in your driveway. The bylaw is against contaminants entering the stormwater. Using enviro friendly products apperently "won't stop the oils and heavy metals washing into the stormwater" Guess you aren't allowed to park outside when it rains too then right?
  13. Off-roading in Waiouru. Best fun I've had in ages.

    This is talent

It's good fun! I've only done some stalling and spinning, but I can't understand how she doesn't have an ear-to-ear grin the whole time? I smile from take-off to touchdown!
  15. Meanwhile I'm hoping mine goes up with my new valuation later this year Bought just over current RV, and IMO house is quite undervalued. Will be easier to sell with a more realistic valuation

How can you rant about something that doesn't exist?
  18. I just took all mine from the department of building and housing website. They have a sample flatsharing agreement on there. Wish I'd implemented more rules like your suggestion though, paying power bills sucks when your paying 2/3rds and using more like 1/2. I'd be strict on heating too, obviously dont make them freeze but if you have sufficient heating, eg heatpump, then ban all other heating for sure! Edit: Also ban them from owning Toyotas. Always a wise move.

Cisco has some neat solutions for that. That will work with Windows, Android, and maybe IOS? Can't remember. Definitely easy to implement, most people just don't know they can.

Don't forget Sharepoint, lots of companies moving to that for web/network based storage and collaborative computing. Amazing what can be done with it. And the support due to there being so many users is pretty phenomenal, chances are someone else has done anything you are trying to do before. Personally I prefer to stay away from IOS unless you are talking Cisco IOS

Could these two be related? All Microsoft products are buggy as sh*t and full of security holes without updates. Yeah some are a waste, but many are important fixes to gaping holes or bugs. Oh and my rave: Air gapped networks. Who knew running a network without any connection to the internet could be so painful!
  22. On my E30s and E36s I use the front crossmember a lot. But even its hard to get the jack up to, and it's a long way under the car from the front! With a flash as proper commercial low profile jack it'd be fine, but repco don't sell those
