shut up you, making me miss my M3 more than i already do >_<
-
oh wow, stunning! Looks a lot like the one i saw in Wellington a while back...?
-
out of curiosity, whats the trick for getting the broken glass out without making a hell of a mess? Tape it up?
-
love the nice linear power line. wish i could afford one of these, such fantastic cars.

most nissan muppets ripped it out of their cars because they didnt understand it, and it caused them to overcook it when dirfting. I actually really likes how it felt to drive my R33s with the hicas (R33 onwards is all electronic, anything older is a hydraulic rack).

Or instead of being a smartass you could post the first link on google, http://e31wiki.org/wiki/Active_Rear_Axle_Kinematics

Being an import, the importer can put almost anything on the rego at the time. I dont see anything that makes it special tbh, those ACS kits and exhaust arent that uncommon on boring spec E39s, and thats all there is to the ACS "treatment" on this car.

hate to know what 6 years of sitting in the sun has done to the paint too.

The internet agrees with him on the claims of the 5 speed being stronger than the 6 speed. I seem to recall something about parts for the 6 speed not being supplied from BMW individually, so they arent technically rebuildable or servicable, whilst parts for the 5 speed are. RealOEM supports this theory. E: oh sheit, didnt realise the E36 was now bumped to "classic" on RealOEM. Sad times.
-
True indeed. We see it sometimes with Merc parts at work, where itll be the same OEM brand as the genuine part, but is actually made cheaper (slightly different design, different material etc etc).
-
great looking car. Stoked that BMW is still making decent looking and driving cars these days. Too many manufacturers going soft.
-
actually, didnt run the VIN before.... now that i have, the comments on turners about the paint make sense. I thought it had been badly touched up, but its actually optioned as black not white. NZ New which is something i guess. Certainly not something youd buy unseen.

with a few grand up your sleeve over a tidy one.... dont think it would be too much of an issue to sort. Dont see any CEL on in the pics either, only TPMS?
-
damn thats a cheap M3
-
But guys, its Good condition as 1 owner.
-
oh man based on that auction estimate, if i could, i totally would. I bet wreckers will be all over it though.
-
id totally buy something like this if it were cheap enough. would be a good toy to hoon in without caring too much. Provided its not completely mechanically buggered.
-
Thats a beautiful car, wouldnt think that price would be too far off the mark for a collector.

That switch is for the rear fogs (top button front, lower button rear), and no you dont need to be in reverse for them to work. Will only work on one side (Driver side IIRC), when your lights are on (park or higher). Button in for on, out for off. Looks much better with the MSport front. I tinted the fogs on my old hellrot yellow too.

i asked early on, answer is top of page 2.

Tried milland or euroitalian?
-
clears look awesome. Also very jealous of the SWB 750i

Both of the cats in my old M3 exhaust were replaced with resonators. Had a great sound and was good in terms of volume. This was my one.

You sir, are a brave brave (or foolish) man Whys it so stripped, did the PO get all the bits they wanted off it and then just flick the shell? The parcel tray will need to be fixed properly, with weld, as its now considered a structural element.
