  1. AH! Thats what it is! Knew something looked wrong at the front, just couldnt work out what.
  2. I really wish there were more well priced E36 M3s around, I would jump on one at around 12-13K, even if it had high KM. 20K is getting too close to E46 M3 prices. Still gutted i wasnt in the right position to buy the cheap high KM evo "5am" sold. Wouldve been perfect.
  3. Weird, did old BMWs not show up when they were individual in the Vin options? This one doesnt say what the interior is, and doesnt mention individual. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bj49998.pdf Love how hes harping on about knowing its been through the BMW Motorsport center in Germany... more like it had some fancier options ticked at the dealer and some stickers were slapped on it afterwards.
  4. i cant be much help to you, but in my experience with jerky jatcos i would avoid like the plague. My old E36 had a jerky jatco which progressively got worse to the point where i couldnt trust it to pull across an intersection in a timely manner. Ended up converting it to manual. As mentioned, KM doesnt mean a heck of a lot in NZ. I would much rather buy a higher KM example with a perfect service history and condition, than one with lower KM and issues/jatco.
  5. Red is OK according the WOF Virm, but only in the rear. http://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof/general/lighting/direction-indicator-lamps
  6. IMO its cheap enough that no tears should be shed over it being 10 months older than its registered date. Its still a facelift, in a good colour and spec. If it were down here id be driving it right now. Heres the Vin sheet btw. Dont know what the "Le mans Blue" crap is, this ones Topasblau. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/ck17102.pdf
  7. only need to re-vin a car if the rego has lapsed, which happens at 12 months from expiry. The current owner/seller pays the back dated rego that is owing. You would only have to pay to update the rego like normal.
  8. Normally bank cheque is OK, but in this case he tried to give me a personal cheque so forced him to go to the bank with me and get a bank cheque. Ive sold 39 cars personally, all but 3 were cash, and 4-5 were trades. Never had an issue.
  9. You'd be surprised, the three times i entertained someone that didnt specify cash i ended up with a bank cheque or pissing around with them sorting finance. I specify cash to make it clear i can buy on the spot, not pissing around.
  10. The difference some photoshop and a polish makes eh?
  11. Just FYI, incases it matters to you, it is a conversion to manual, not factory. Best of the pick though, MSport, v8 and manual; YUM.

    E30 m3

If its the car im thinking of, i see it around a lot, and TBH it still looks as good as it does in the pictures. Sounds sex too!
  13. Not really helpful but i lol when people say "Fully loaded!" or "All options!"..... and then doesnt have something simple like cruise control fitted.
  14. i like the colour coded interior trim, its an individual option i havent seen before.
  15. To me, its not "minor details" at that asking price. Its not hard to get a genuine motorsport 540 at around that price.
  16. I wouldnt touch that e39 personally. Just ran the Vin, its not a motorsport model at all and according to the Vin it should be green, not black. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bw71397.pdf
  17. IVe wanted to buy this a couple of times now, but the longer i watch it, the higher the price keeps going. Last year it was in the low 7K range, and has now jumped that high with no obvious changes or reason for the increase. Its a DAMN good looking example.
  18. I ran the Vin a while back as i thought it wasnt a real M5 either (found it hard to believe an M5 would sound that bad), but the Vin confirmed its legit.
  19. Sounds good at idle, high pitched, ugly and raspy the moment the throttle is touched. Not my cuppa, but each to their own. This is more my thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-mtIHAweo4
  20. Just putting it out there, but i do not like the sound of the V10 M5s..... give me an e39 M5 any day. Theres a white E60 M5 around town that i see quite often, sounds poo.
  21. To the owner of the White 2002 rego KH6221 i saw this evening on Taranaki St.... Your car is gorgeous, well done Oh, and your reverse lights are constantly on with your tail lights. All you see is white light (over powers both tail and brake lights).

    FS: 03 M3 Avus Blue

Thats a gorgeous car, exactly what ill be looking to buy in a few years. FYI, 23/10/02 build. Pretty nice option list too. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/jr05069.pdf
  23. BTW, straight from the WOF manual. I dont know if the plates and tags have been swapped from the iS onto the iA body as this thread hasnt made this clear, but if they have the above would confirm it is illegal unless done by an authorised person. I know someone brought up the Dakar M3 that was rebodied; the difference with the was that it was still a 318i, the tags had not been swapped, but it had been certified for all modifications (which is legal). If youre swapping plates and tags from one car to another; no matter what the car is, or what your reasons are, unless its done legally you are no better than young Johnny with his totes wikd dirft Cefiro.
  24. Is it a coincidence that he is also selling an Auto from a 94 E34 540i? E: nope, not a coincidence, looks like it was converted by HellBM. He also mentioned "reshelled", would be interested to know the VIN.
  25. Loving the new look, the old look was VERY dated by comparison. Well done everyone involved.
